Vidal was a WC btb midfielder for us, but he has declined a lot and can hardly be seen as WC in that position anymore.
Vidal is being predicted to start as a holding mid, that's what we were talking about, not him as a B2B. And he has been very good for Bayern this year defensively and is still WC.

He did allright at AM but nothing more.
Vidal did very well as an AM for Leverkusen. He also did well there for Chile. And I assume you were just talking about last season. Vidal did better than just alright after he returned to form. If you're talking stylistically, he isn't your classical trequartista, but he plays well in that position.

He was a terrible as a holding mid/ regista.
You've absolutely no idea of what you're talking about. Vidal started out as a DM for Leverkusen and was very impressive. Played that role Chile many times over the years and was good as usual. Ditto for Bayern this season. I'm not sure when you saw or how much you remember of Vidal playing as holding mid/regista.

He did not have the positional sense or the passing range to play that position.
Vidal's positional sense is exceptional. Another really awkward thing to say. He isn't a passing maestro, but he's a good passer (only times he has had issues with that were during 1st half of his 1st season with us and synching with his teammates with the ball so far at Bayern). You don't need to be a long-ball specialist to play as a holding mid.

I think he played CB and LB for us 2 or 3 times in 4 years so labelling him as WC in those positions is maybe a bit of a stretch.
Saying he was WC playing as a CB is something different from "he's a WC CB."

Breitner: ‘Juventus have no chance’ :sergio::sergio::sergio:
By Football Italia staff

Bayern Munich legend Paul Breitner says Juventus “have no chance” if his old side play to their “normal level”.

The Bianconeri face the German giants in the first leg of their Champions League Last 16 tie in Turin tonight, and five-time Bundesliga winner says the Bavarians are on a different level.

“I don’t see any danger, the reality is that Bayern are one of the top clubs in Europe,” Breitner told Goal.

“In recent years they’ve dominated along with Barcelona and Real Madrid. For the Bavarians the Bundesliga is like homework, the Champions League is the exams.

“We have to show our class over the two games, but if we do that we won’t have to worry about anything. If I’m strong then I don’t have to worry about my opponent.

“If we play at our normal level, Juventus will have no chance. The same would be true of PSG [Paris Saint-Germain], it’s only against Barcelona or Real Madrid you need to really perform at the maximum.

“Among the teams we could have faced I think PSG were the strongest, there isn’t a difference between Juve and the others.:lol::lol::lol: WTF???

“Are they stronger than teams like Gent? Whoever says that doesn’t see what’s happening in Belgian football. They’ve produced great players in the last few years. Remember my words when Wolfsburg get knocked out.

“We can compare what’s happening in Belgium to what happened in Germany in 2010. There’s a process of change, the players are improving and so they’re starting to have success.

“Juventus’ defence? I’m not worried. We’ve seen in every game so far that every team has defended against us with nine-men behind the ball hoping to get a 0-0.

“I played Italian opposition in the 70s, they way they played then is the way they play now. The Italians are born to play nil-nil, to defend.

“I don’t see that changing in the near future.”

I seriously have never seen a player or ex-player throwing so much $#@! at Juve, not even when Calciopoli hit Juve. Breitner is either trolling or an idiot. No other way.
This is Nostradamus on steroids.

That's funny because it's a role Vidal has been WC in for many years.

Not the first time he'll play there for Bayern either.

Glad to see Mediaset now spelled Lewndowski's name right and got our lineup right with Barzagli on the left and Bonucci on the right and not vice versa.
It is extremely funny because he was WC b2b here for vast majority of games contributing equally to both phases of our game. In Bayern his game is reduced to only doing dirty work and providing cover for more talented players. Dont think he is particularly happy with this.

Nah, Nostradamus is far more respectable. Maybe this place sensibilized him but he doesnt badmouth Italian football.

And no he is not a good passer. It has always been hes weakness and no hes positional sense is not exceptionel. What is exceptional is hes pressing and it also used to be hes goalscoring abilities (that seems to be gone now). He often gets drawn out of position being overly aggressive and that is a bad thing for a DM. Hes quite explosive on the first couple of meters but after that he is slow, which means that there are a risk of being overrun on counterattacks. Thats okay for a b2b midfielder WHO has a DM covering for him but it is baad for a DM.

I have never watched him for Leverkusen and only a few times for Chile but I have watched him more or less every single game in 4 years for Juve so I think thats enough to form an opinion.

:D I definitely won't pm you the score.

¡No te desanimes!

Yes but his defensive work has been far superior to that going forward for two seasons now. When he used to play on one leg for us he was still a beast winning the ball.

Breitner hasn't even watching Italian football since the 1970s lol. You only had to have a casual watch of Juve in last season's CL, but I suppose when you have your head up your own ass that is difficult.
:D

I'll not be anywhere near the Tuz till it's over. So I'll be fine unless @Fr3sh whatsapps me. And if he does I'll kill the fucker :D

For some of the reasons you mentioned, if he feels the pressure, it wouldnt totally surprise me if he gets a red or a couple of yellows..he has the potential for disaster on and off the pitch which is what the board recognized early. It was the right move to sell him..He was legend potential here but for his stupidity he is just a interchangeable player who has janitorial duties for that Bayern team.
