    Sturaro starts Juve-Madrid
    By Football Italia staff

There are reports Stefano Sturaro will be a surprise Juventus starter against Real Madrid, with Arturo Vidal behind the strikers.

The first leg of the Champions League semi-final kicks off in Turin at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

Italian and Spanish media are scrambling to find clues for the starting line-ups in tonight’s big game.

According to the latest rumours emerging, Max Allegri will pick Sturaro instead of Roberto Pereyra in his squad.

Playing the ex-Genoa man in a deeper role would push Vidal further forward as trequartista behind strikers Carlos Tevez and Alvaro Morata.

It’s going to be a four-man defence with Patrice Evra and Stephan Lichtsteiner as full-backs around Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini.

The midfield is completed by Andrea Pirlo and Claudio Marchisio.

Sturaro joined in the January transfer window from Genoa and recently turned 22. He has played only four previous minutes of Champions League football in one appearance.

Juventus (probable): Buffon; Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Chiellini, Evra; Sturaro, Pirlo, Marchisio; Vidal; Tevez, Morata

They can do the running without the ball to support the attack, but they can't run with the ball like Pereyra can.
That's true, we'll be relying alot on Tevez dropping much deeper but we should have more of the ball with Sturaro in midfield.

The trade-off with Sturaro playing instead of Pereyra is that Juve may be able to put more pressure on Real Madrid's deep midfielders and win the ball in dangerous situations.

Vidal is obviously more likely to manage to do that when trequartista than Pereyra.
Was thinking this aswel. Vidal and Tevez is quite some pressure that could trouble reals buildup greatly.

Also means we are gonna take the game to them instead of sitting back

And Tevez and Morata will have to carry hardcore. AT least we can be confident that we will not leave spaces in midfield.

WE need Morata and Tevez to be sharp as fuck

Stuaro wasn't even starting for Genoa now he's here starting in a semi final against the current CL winners, crazy journey for him.

    Not convinced.

Think it'll still be a case of Juve sitting back a lot and picking moments to apply pressure.

It'll just be that Juve'll be more effective at pressing on the occasions they decide to commit to it.

    With Pirlo, surely we would?

Weird. I'm actually more confident with Sturaro in for Pereyra and Vidal as a AM. This could turn out to be a brilliant move.
    Or crippling.

inb4 Stuaro and/or Vidal get booked in less than 15 mins.
