Well, seems like there are some kind of restrictions for new users preventing me from quoting people or even put a certain amount of characters in a post so can't answer some of the posts I wanted to.

A few of you did bring up some valid points while some were just plain stupid as to why you hate Barcelona. I also quite like now many people there are online at odd hours on this forum.
We're spread out all over the globe. For me it's 11.15pm so it's not such an odd hour :D

I don't think many seriously hate Barca. Most are just sick of the media spoon-feeding us Barca 24/7, going on and on about how incredible and dominant Barca is and so on... And unlike in 2013 with Bayern, it's simply not the case.

Barca hasn't been destroying any top teams. I don't see any 7-0 aggregates. Nothing like that this year. You dominated PSG 5-1 on aggregate, winning each match by two goals, but you had the good luck of facing PSG without 2 of its top 3 players in the away leg.

SO to continually hear from the media and from 90% of your fans that you going to crush us by 4 goals or more is just ridiculous, and completely stupid. Could it happen? Sure. Anything could happen. But to predict it as some kind of certainty, as though you're that much better than us. It's retarded. We just beat Madrid 3-2 on aggregate, a team that outscored you 4-3 over your 2 matches this year. You lost your last CL match 3-2 to Bayern, a Bayern without RObben, Ribery, Alaba. 3 of its best players.

I've met some great Barca fans. Knowledgeable, friendly, fun, etc. So I understand not all of you are like the above. But the one's frequenting message boards, and the media, etc, are all acting as though you'll destroy us, and I simply don't see any evidence for this from the past 6 months of football. So it gets very irritating to hear it everyday.

I kinda like Barca.. i had a soft spot for them long before ronaldinho and messi existed.

But i have to admit that they have an enormous excess of stupid bandwagoners worldwide thanks to Messi and their recent successes (since rikard era))
I only liked them when Mendieta was on board.

I played the final on FIFA 15 Pogba scored, Neymar gets assist from Messi, then Dani Alves gets red then Tevez scores for the win. Let's see what happens im hopeful :xfinger:

@Kieselguhr Kid I have no problems with Juve fans being motivated to beat Barcelona, especially when it is as you say, media paints us as some super-hero side that will easily crush you. But there are a lot of people who dislike Barcelona for arbitrary reasons.

As for not being dominant vs top teams this year, what you describe is mostly accurate. However, using the argument that you beat Real 3-2 on aggregate while we lost to them 4-3 (over 2 games) and thus trying to prove (I assume) we're at equal playing fields is flawed. We lost 3-1 to them in the first half of the season when they were playing extremely well and Barcelona was a minor disaster without an identity under Enrique not to mention that was Suarez's first game back from the ban. We didn't really get going until January, before that no one tipped us to win jack shit this season because things were looking so unstable and there was a rift between Messi and Enrique. You won vs them when they missed their most important player besides Ronaldo (Modric) and overall was out of form compared to their first half of the season.

And as for losing to Bayen 3-2. When it was 2-1 in favor of Barcelona, Bayern needed to score 5 goals to go through, we lowered our tempo and intensity quite a lot at that point so it's not like we lost a match where we gave it our all.

But overall I agree with your assessment (although not the examples you used to illustrate your point). I think this is going to be a tight affair and most likely the winning team is not going to win with more than 1 goal margin.

I also don't agree that 90% of our fans think we'll obliterate you guys. I don't socialize with a lot of football fans in real life but on our forum at least most people show proper respect for Juventus and know this is going to be a tough match. I still think we are favorites, but not to the degree media is making it out to be.

man i feel like such a bitch, but i have no hope in us winning(read 10% chance), maybe it's a mental sanity defense mechanism, having witnessed 3 losses in finals, anyways i dont even wanna think about it
gotta keep the faith brother! remember, this is juve. I've actually been feeling something different I've never felt. Nothing. No excitement, no worry. Just a deep calmness about it all.

Just registered to wish you guys luck on saturday (as a Barca fan). Although, I must admit I am bit surprised over the hate towards Barcelona as a team. I understand the hate against Neymar and Busquets but a lot of you seem to have a genuine dislike against Barcelona as a team.
A better question would be, why the hastle to register on a Juve forum to ask such a question where you can simply ask Google? Or even better, ask Jeeves?

Cakir is anti physical play, easy on the trigger, spams lots of yellows, gonna fall for Barcelona dive party and limit our strengths

I hoped for some english ref or Felix Brych
I hoped for Øvrebø, just for the sake of football.

I wasn't so much pointing out those examples to say Barca isn't a fantastic team, more so, that you weren't beating top teams 4-0 or 5-0. Neither were we. I suppose I was trying to say that Barcelona isn't some unstoppable force.

But what we do have in common is that we both beat Real Madrid 2-1 at our home stadiums not too long ago.

I'm probably exaggerating the 90% say we are going to get crushed. It just seems like lately, every other prediction and comment is that we'll get crushed. Probably being a Juventus fan, after 9 years of purgatory since 2006, we're somewhat defensive to being dismissed summarily and treated as though we're some undeserving finalist and are about to get smashed.

But I certainly agree that you are favourites. My opinion is that it's probably a 1 goal game, and our chances are largely dependent on weathering the storm for the first 15-20 minutes and slowly working our way into the game. Because 1 thing is certain, we'll be pressed from the opening whistle, and it will be interesting to see how we react and how long it takes us to start pressing back/creating chances on the counter... It really does look like a fascinating match.

Ignore the silly stuff here too. Mostly tongue-in-cheek aside from a few crazies. It's just the nature of this forum, moderation is pretty lenient. It keeps it quite fun, a little chaos is always entertaining.

IMO we at least have one great advantage over them: Allegri > Enrique.

I have faith in Mister that he already noted flaws in their set-up and will find the way to exploit those (their defence playing high up the pitch on many occasions, their defence going rough and making fouls even in areas of dangerous free-kicks, Pique pushing the line high and trying to make offside when they're defending the set-pieces from the side).

Just think of it, if Enrique was our coach, what chances would we have?

Allegri is a big bonus for us, clearly the better tactician in the final, it's something that could decide the match in our favour.

Can't wait for our third Champions Cup! And the fact that it will be won against the most pathetic club in the world(3 of their CL were gifted by the refs) will make it even sweeter!:weee:

you are talking nonsense and you are not the best example of what Juventus and their fans want as a representative in public. this attitude is familiar to fake fans, therefore I can't support your views and take your opinion for granted and I doubt I will in the future. Also your red card on reputation bar somehow speaks for itself, because there are not many red cards around here.

But thats just my opinion

Just to add something to the why so many people hate Barca around here discussion. And really, this might be hard to admit as a Juve supporter for over 12 years but I think it's the truth.

Barca have been probably the most successful team in the past decade. Juve hasn't been able to shine on the European stage for over a decade. We've been to the second division, we've seen our teams disintegrate before our eyes, we've seen our reputation falter, we've seen our worst enemy, the engineers of the calcitonin, dominate a league they didn't deserve to dominate. Till this day, people still think of juve as cheaters.

Barca and Juve could not have had more stark fortunes. Barca hit the the biggest jackpot in history with Messi, play a brand of football that is entertaining, attract many casual fans, and have success to show for it. There is denying any of this and any serious person will admit that much.

So we, the juve fans, have been waiting a very long time, faithfully, patiently, nervously, to see a resurrection of what was previously a consistent European great. All the while watching the success of far richer clubs. If Real had won more trophies and been more successful, the hate would have been towards them rather than Barca.

There's a lot of rationalisation that goes on to why people hate/dislike Barca. The truth is, we're just emotional, we want our team to win and we know that very few fans have been through what we have. So obviously it's going to upset us to see fans who haven't been through shit experience success, in the form of fun to watch football.

So to Barca fans who read this, I hope this post doesn't make you happy. It shouldn't. You don't have a clue what it's like to stand up against real hatred, constant media attacks, betrayals. And it's possible that you may never either.

Thus, I hope you do take offence. I hope you do feel hatred, I hope you get disrespected, abused, teased, and tortured. It's truly the very least we can do.

You should say why they are the most pathetic club, show some respect please.
