No, he won't. From the round of 16 we can register maximum 3 new players who already took part in an UEFA competition in EL or CL qualifiers, but not players who played in the group stages in the same competition we were in.

For example, we can sign Witsel (from EL team), Pogba (from EL team) or Dzeko (CL qualifiers) and register them for CL, but we can't do that with players who took part in this year's CL group stages. If we sign Verratti or Matuidi in the winter, they will only be eligible for serie A and Coppa Italia.

IMO is a matter of mentality and tactics.
Along this years, we have had some interesting players, but somehow we have always managed to play weird/poorly.
With the exception of that patch after allegri´s first season when he decided to TAKE RISKS and field the 4312 against Olympiacos, and then reaching the CL final.... we have played very defensive...way too much.-..or simply playing bad.

For those who think Allegri was limited because of injuries, ok lets see how do we play the 352, the system which supposedly suites us best..do we press no we don't (how can we with this midfield?) IF we don't have ability to press Wtf is the point of this system what strengths does it tap into for us? Excellent supply from the wings to higuain? No. All it does is put pressure on our CBs with our weak midfield. Yes we had injuries but Allegri could have tried out a bunch of shyit in our league games against weaker teams but doesnt. His blame is not recognizing when change is needed. you can't one day decide to do it against lyon in CL, in practice field is not same as a match.

We don't have playmakers but we have some solid stoppers. Need two stoppers March/khedira/Stu or even Bonnuci could cover when needed at that mid. Higuain needs to play up top and be supplied from wings, we got players who can blaze the wings, we don't use thst either, we play wingbacks to attack..this teams strength right now is 4231 when Dybala back. With pjaca back we can play Dybala behind Higuain which is better.

And yes.. his blame is that he is not being able to spot what to change. Im all for ditching the 352... but the guy just goes and experiment with 4312 in our 3rd CL game...when he should have started practicing it in PRESEASON.
