Padoin was doing the right thing by running back to form a defensive line of 4 but by then marchisio had already tracked back with no 5 into the back 4.

Padoin has a clear view at Marchisio, he sees Marchisio filling up the CB line. Padoin should have looked around and covered opponents Belfodil could address.

From this angle you can see mauri was not tracked by pereyra/sturaro.

This I agree on. Also Bonucci kinda let that pass to Belfodil happen. A goal is rarely conceded by one player alone.

Not enough time for him to tactically adjust. In this case 2 players were caught out of position and mauri was left unmarked to score.

These are the kind of mistakes we should avoid against monaco.
