According to sky. I reckon the earlier one with Sissoko and Amauri is the correct one though.
Sky usally are more accurate then Tuttoshit if i'm not mistaken.

Anyway this formation potentially mouth-watering, if those three can click straight away we can be in for hell of a night. I'm talking full blown highlights reel here.

With those three Trez going to look like is old self again, Melo and Sissoko/Poulsen should be able to deal with Haifa seriously missing midfield.

If thats the case i'm very optimistic, lets just hope Ciro wont pull a "ranieri" tonight.

We are Juventus, they are "some Israeli team", so no matter how they play, normally we should be favorites, shouldn't care about them and set whichever formation we want.

But in our current form we aren't so powerful to do it, so it might be smart to play some formation that will neutralize their strengths and kick them where they're weakest.

Can someone tell me more about Maccabi, the tactics they use, their strengths and their weaknesses?
Do they play with wingers? Is their defense strong? etc etc
They're the reigning Israeli Champions, that's about all I know.

ok if gio doesnt play today, i really hopes he leaves for his future's sake. Lippi and ferrera is obviously trying to let de ceglie play more to prepare for world cup. And as italians, they do not believe in flair, therefore gio isnt in their plans

@Alen

They like to use the wings,have fast fullbacks,and often they use their speed to counterattack.in CL especially.here in Israel they control every match.
They're 6 of 6 in Israel so far.playing really well.
Their defence is not the strong part.plus they missing few important guys...

If we don't beat them and give us a show then i say we're in trouble.

@Tomice

No dude,i didn't buy aticket for the away fans area,the italians will sit at the 1 gate afaik.
i bought for 30$ mine.

By the way, some of Maccabi's players are arabic muslims, they are palestinians but they have israeli passport ..

I think they belong to " Arab 48 " group ..

Anyway, Mohamed Ghadir is one of them and as people say " he's young and talented " .. only 18 years old ..
Well, Ghadir isn't Palestine, he is a Israeli/Bedouin, A muslim nomadic tribe that lives in Israel, they serve in the IDF and they are normal citizens as the rest (only that they live in the desert and some of them still in tents..)

He is defnitly gifted and very fast, Him and Golasa are very bright prospects but both of them are injured.

Not because anything the Maccabi are doing :lol:
They are not such a bad team, they outplayed bordeaux away and 3 years ago won against Manure and twice against olympiakos in the CL.

We still should win, but its still a football game..

They usally play 4-5-1

They are much better at attacking then on defence. They use two wingers Ghadir and Golasa, both under 18 and very fast and technicaly gifted but theywont play today so that a big blow for them. The AMC/SS Yaniv Katan is the Leader and the best player with a very good left foot and great vision but he wont play either, again huge blow.

There defence is young but talnted, The two CB's are slow and heavy but veryl strong and the fullbacks are very fast but lacking in last touch.

My gusse is that they will play 4-3-1-2 tonight, They are missing their star players but they are in great form with 7 stright wins without lossing in the league.

We should win by 2 goals at least.

I heard that they are playing without their best players, are these the aforementioned wingers?
Great lineup, good to know Ciro is changing stuff up
