Honestly we need to improve in this regard ...sometimes we could concede no warranties that we cant so ....

but because we just started and the team and the coach still kick starting ...it is understandable ...because otherwise it is a suicide

Bernadeschi on this position together with Chiesa was great! Max should them play more often instead of playing Bernadeschi as a CM or Wingplayer. I'm a Bentancur-Hater but yesterday he had a very good performance especially in defending, its good to see Juve recover slowly but on a good way from their struggling. Don't know what to think about Rabiot or McKennie, neither of them had a good game and seemed lost but hey, it was enough to beat the UCL-Winner of 20/21.

Obviously we missed a target man who could win aerial duels against the Chelsea centre backs and hold up play needed for the possession to increase but who cares we won the game without two key players

That was the only real chance they had all game. We reduced the European champions to a few half chance headers from set pieces and that one Lukaku shot at the end which he hilariously (and predictably) missed.

They had a few clear headers from corners towards the end. Out set piece defending has been atrocious. At the least, we shouldn't put Kean there anymore. He's more likely to score an own goal than to clear the ball.

Basically stats can tell you the story but its not a concrete fact.
We didnt play the ball much but when we did we were by far more dangerous than Chelsea - therefore it is a deserved win!

Great win yesterday, great to see an improved spirit of many of the players and also more concentration at the back in general I would say. Chiesa made all the difference and scared the shit out of Chelsea to give us some momentum after a slow start.

I wouldnt celebrate yet though, as if our season is saved (its just a CL group match at home). We also saw the odd upset and good play against good teams even during Pirlo and Sarri times, and we are still 10th in the league. We need to show that this wasnt a fluke, and that we can keep the opponent away from scoring, even when giving them 75% of the possession and 8 corner kicks. Otherwise this tactic is just suicide.
Its early days, we need to build on this and learn to be confident WITH the ball and how to control the game. Without that, we will still get our butts kicked.

doesn't help when you got bonucci who cant win an aerial duel to save his life, not to say he had a bad game, he kept lukaku in his pocket, almost a costly error from bonucci positionally by getting too close when lukaku had his late chance which went off target
