No Chiellini necessitates a 3 man midfield with both Matuidi and Marchisio; we need to protect that fragile/leaky/porous defense. A defensive unit comprised of Gramps, The Moroccan Malaise, The Milan Reject, The Disinterested Favella Boy, and protected by a midfield duo of Khedira and Pjanic is inviting disaster. We'll get massacred.
I was going to say that this is a game that we can definitely win, but it would be very very very hard if we use only Pjanic and Khedira in the middle of the park, as their efforts probably wont be enough to win the battle vs Barca`s midfield, and if/when Barca starts controlling the midfield, the pressure on our backline would be immense and eventually we will concede, probably more than once.
Now if we do start with a midfield 2, and our CB pair is Barzagli - Benatia, I think that this will be a walk in the park for Barca. Max should invent something, very very fast, otherwise we will leave everything for the last game in Athens. Hope it doesnt snow in Greece next month...
