Yep, some posts are really weird. I'm very happy we went through after the crappy display last year.

It's not like we were farting rainbows this year but at least we're through, no?
Ofcourse!
That was the target, and we made it.

We're through, the rest is irrelevant. Don't particularly care about performance tonight, even though we were better team in every aspect of the game. We probably could have done more, but we managed to fulfill our most important objective. Forza Juve!
+1
:agree:
Porto or Monaco, Dortmund or PSG at a stretch. Avoid Bayern and Real at all costs.
This.100%.

From best to worst draw for us:

Monaco
Porto
Dortmund
PSG
Chelsea
Bayern
Real Madrid
Exactly.
The humiliation from not getting through for the 2nd year running and being eliminated by Galatasaray and Olympiacos would have been unbearable.
This.
+The $$ we got for going trough is also very important to us.

Atletico are a VERY strong team with GREAT defence.so all in all we were better, creates more, had the ball more, more shots and etc but played smart enough to not lose the match as well.

Bravo to everyone,mission accomplished.
:xfinger: for a good draw (Monaco/Porto)

Forza Juve!!

The only thing people should bitch about is our inability to create chances.
Yup. This.

And this is why I said that morata for llorente was a given at the 60th minute. But after seeing nothing changed, I knew we were going for hte draw.

Lets not fool ourselves. After the 3rd game, we were so out of this. Now we managed to pass so dont get too greedy. Yes im a little annoyed at llorente and vidal, but we were “this“ close of being lamenting like last year after the galatasaray game. We woke up late into the group stage and that could have costed us, but we at least saved the embarrasmane t this time.

Now, we will have to man up and try to win against any top team we face, going with our plan A and demonstrating what we didnt in the first games of the group stage.

Now we need to accept our fate, and show what we have got. If we go out against a top team, at least do it in style, not pussying out.

even though i respect Atletico and their project of the last coupe of years. damn they are such a pain in the ass. i wished they played more open and attack cause we can have some space but they just enjoy closing matches.

I liked the approach that we went for the win but at the same time kept our balance not to concede, that being said we forced Buffon into a couple of great saves and he kept us in the match. Atletico made things easier by not wanting to go forward and with the clock ticking it all became obvious that both teams are content with a goalless game. I don't have the intention to start controversy or fights but I have a feeling that Conte would have aimed for a draw in such a scenario and managed to lose the match.

Buffon 7

Lichtsteiner 6.5
Bonucci 6.5
Chiellini 6.5
Evra 6

Vidal 6
Pirlo 6.5
Pogba 6.5
Pereyra

Tevez 6.5
Llorente 6

FULLY AGREE!

The negative attitude from the kick-off would've lost it for us. Max was much more positive but as the game went on it was only sane to concede the draw.
