Our bench definitely played a role in the loss.

Mandzukic and Pjanic could barely run and we can't really bring anyone on to replace them to make an impact.

Marchisio and Cuadrado should have come on at half time but Allegri said he wanted to wait a little longer and didn't see the goals coming so soon

It was a bit unfortunate but with better squad depth perhaps we would not have had those injuries in the final.

Our attack was poor for the match and we dropped too deep without having a counter attack so Real were not afraid to get numbers forward.

Just one of those nights where nothing went our way and we should not dwell on it too much as the gap between us and Madrid is not 3 goals over 90 minutes

One key thing you should add to that that dropping deep isnt neccecarely an issue, but not having a proper cm putting a fight in the middle is.

You dont need your striker pressing like fuck if you can just keep him buzy with the last defender and have a proper physical dm that goes to war.

We had khedira, who jogs instead of marking ronaldo, jumps like a sisi, and allowed madrid to walk to our penalty box

Agreed with all other points tho.

As a REAL MADRID Fan it´s so nice to read your statements after the Match.
What a Final!!! Two record-holders, REAL MADRID with 11 Titels and on the other side juventus with 6 lost Finals.
But Guys I want to be fair and congratulate you for the second place, once again. You should be proud, 5 in a row, you made HI5TORY (97,98,03,15,17) :sergio::lol::lol::ultra:

I hope to see you in the next Final. That means: We would be able to sleep peacefully before the finale and we would see the next Juve-Saga: LE6ENDS :ratcafe::ratcafe::ratcafe:

I would recomend you a new Juve-Slogan: Coitus Interruptus :flag1:. You play the best football to the Final and than everything goes wrong.

Sad but true. We are Real Madrid bitches. Gave them their first CL in 25 years or so and allowed them to be the first team to defend the CL trophy.

All those times we eliminated them in QF or SF means jack shit.

We r gonna meet RM in quarters or Semi and you know what is gonna happen cuz we shocked in finals but RM schoked against Juve in two games leg

BTW u should bet your house to RM next year in La Liga cuz you know how deserve (Japanese team in WC and BM in UCL are perfect example of how RM win titles nowadays) and solid (90 minutes goals like hell and luck everywhere like the two first goals in the final) was last year title

After this game I felt all disillusioned with professional football. Now I come back and the team is in dissarray yet another summer.

I love this club and look forward to seeing us back on the pitch again but it's been four years I think since I've gone into the season excited by what our new players are gonna add. Instead here we are taking bets on who's gonna be the next one to go. Fuck modern football. I love all of this as much as I hate it.

and that's why higuain is not the ideal striker for us in the cl. both tevez and morata were way more effective in counters.
Higuaín was the perfect CF for a counter attacking Napoli . It seems you guys want to scapegoat him for the sake of it. Just look at our starting eleven in the final. Hardly any ball carriers from deep. We basically had nobody from midfield or on the wings who could carry the ball forward or outpace defenders.
Dybala dropping deep is not exactly the problem either. Now imagine a situation where he can make a pass on the break to a couple of pacy wingers instead of the slow(er) Mandzukic and Alves and you'd see a different result. Or have an athletic mid who can just break free from deep.

Lack of pace on the wings, lack of an athletic mid made us ineffective on the counters. Higuaín is far from the problem.

don't complicate it: replace higuain with morata and you instantly get great counter potential. just re-watch cuadrado's goal against bayern, it's simple as that.

higuain is a very good striker inside the box, but for most of the times, easy to neutralise outside of it. at napoli, he had better winger support and got more direct vertical passes from hamsik, so he was a better fit for them. you don't transform a complete team just to please a striker, unless it's messi or ronaldo. i already accepted that higuain wouldn't perform according to his full potential for juve.

Morata has the ability to run at defenders but he also doesn't guarantee you 30 goals which is precisely the point. We bought Higuaín because we wanted a consistent goalscorer. That's the primary objective you'd want from a striker. Now Higuaín can't run at defenders like Morata can so what you do is you compensate for it by adding pace on the wings which not only makes us a threat from outwide but also would get the best out of Higuaín in such a scenario and make him extra dangerous.
Sorry I can't pick a bunch of isolated incidents and justify that Morata would be a better fit for us when he doesn't guarantee you consistent quality in the first place.
We have a genuine goalscorer now who's scored 32 goals last season. We build on it by getting some good wingers and make us more effective on the counters.

Who cares if Higuain scores 30 goals in Serie A??? We don't need that, won serie A with ease with gio quags matri and Vuci. We need a CL player, somethign that Higuain is not, and Morata is, Morata also plays ours style much more fluid. We need a player that won't be a ghost in the game simply bc he doesn't get constant service. 12 cl games all starts 4 goals....2 of which were vs zagreb. Quags in 12-13 had 4 CL goals in 7 games coming on as a sub in 4 of them..HIguain was never the striker we needed, but now we're stuck with him and forced to make the team play to suit him, which doesn't work

Don't take serie a for granted, competition has been rather consistent for large parts of the season last year and just imagine Napoli having a 30 goal scorer upfront. We definetely needed Higuain last season even in serie A. We are slowly but surely moving towards becoming a more possession dominant side. With the acquisition of the correct players on the wings this mercato (and by not losing important players) we can fully utilize Higuain's qualities, once done, i am sure he will deliver even more.

It's still beyond me, why did Allegri played 3-4-1-2 and not 4-2-3-1, the latter formation was doing wonders! I still can't get over the final! DAMN!
