Hazard is inferior, and I dont look at his season. He allways been, lets ignore the difference in talent for a sec, he doesnt have the mentality and deadly streak of Neymar at all. Neymar since his first call up ALLWAYS steps up for Brasil (close to their best scorer ever), Hazard is yet to do anything with Belgium NT, he seems to hide from responsibility, as he is kinda showing with Chelsea right now. Not only is Neymar more talented and scores more in the same exact position and age, Neymar is just naturally leading go-to-guy in a way Hazard will never become most likely. Hazard will go down as one of the dozen best players in his generation, but Neymar will certainly end it as a one of the top best post Messi/CR players if he keeps it up.

I'd say I'm pretty much Hazard's biggest fan. I will defend him to everyone. So screw you Osman :D. I also disagree with you that Hazard will never be a go to guy. He was just that all last season with Chelsea.

But overall Neymar is surely the better player. One look at his statistics and you know that much really.

I can bet my balls if Neymar wasn't typical Brazilian show player (not saying he is not good) he wouldn't be rated as much as he is now. Just my thought.

In terms of goals the guy is phenomenal though. And imagine having the weight of friggin' Brazil on your shoulders during a World Cup in Brazil and then easily scoring twice in the first game.. That's incredibly impressive. Much like Cristiano, I think some people underestimate him because he's a bit of a showboater.

I tend to defend Hazard in this forum past years, especially to Alen. He used to be the main reason I watched Ligue 1 religiously back in the day. He is undoubtedly a top player, but there are LAYERS and levels to it like in anything else, and he isnt simply in Neymar level. He is a top player, and can be a go to guy, but not in the best around kind of go-to-guy, more of a mid level decisive top player who brings his quality consistently. But rarely shows he is a big moments player nor have the mentality to just step up and take charge. Hope he elevates himself soon, but his current amongst the top half dozen players in his field might be his ceiling. Compared to Neymar who's potential ceiling IMO is the best player period. Neymar has that effortless quality to step and score or make something happen whenever he is needed.

I dont want to be harsh, but what Neymar did in WC is basically text book of what he is about, and Hazard who is also surrounded by quality simply just played a hide and seek kind of tourno instead of doing something that remotely comes close to impressing. Also kinda like how he is in Chelsea right now. He isnt the main issue, but his attitude and mentality is defenitely major part of their troubles. I see them chasing games to tie or win in final minutes, and this guy litterally jogs slowly to take the corner, and hits it like he doesnt give a fuck. You can have all the talent in the world, but if you dont have the desire and fire in you to show you are the best, you will never come close to it.

If you read Hazard's extensive interviews in the Belgian press there's one recurrent theme: he's in a lot of pain when playing. He gives small hints here and there. I don't see him playing till 35 and perhaps it is killing his desire too.

That I didnt I know. We dont need another Baggio scenario, where a player is in constant pain while still having huge pressure on them.

I NEVER underrate Neymar, in fact been a fan since he was a teen. And he deserves to be getting his dues (I been recently arguing with friends that he is better then Sanchez for sure, while they claim its not close...), which he doesnt get enough for being stereotyped as some softy or bad boy, when he is infact very much a humble hardworking and professional player (unlike wtf ones like Benzema who dont seem to get that rep) who can basically do it all, if people dont like him or find him annoying fine, but I personally find him very refreshing except the dives. But his dues is not getting overrated as the best player in the world, defenitely not there...and he shouldnt be elevated just as an excuse put down his teammate who is infact the best player in the world.

He is defenitely 3rd best material, his only competition for it should be a top level injury free Robben, his teammate Suarez and and a healthy Aguero.

Yeah, not Muller, and certaintly not Sanchez or Hazard...
I'd actually put it a bit like this, in terms of attacking players:

Messi
Ronaldo

Neymar

Suarez, Müller, (injury free) Aguero. Maybe injuy free Robben.
Hazard

Absolutely no way is Suarez on the same level as Neymar. Neymar can score the same number of goals, gain quadruple the assists, and create much more.

And Neymar is not getting overrated in these past few pages. He's putting his name in the hat for the best player currently playing in 2015/16. Not the best player of last year, or the last few years, but this very season.

Barcelona has scored 16 goals in the last 6 games. Neymar has scored or assisted 14 of them. That's utter dominance, and easily on the level of Cristiano and Messi in their great runs of form.

Will it last? Who knows. Once Messi returns, will Messi catch fire and tear through the rest of the season, probably. But Neymar is certainly showing he's capable of that level right now.

Suarez has more assists the past year though. Neymar is ahead in goals...
Suarez works better with Messi. Neymar seems to be the one who sacrifices most in terms of output by playing with the other two as most of the attacking play goes through Messi and he combines with Suarez.

Now that he is injured you see just how deadly Neymar is when the attacking play flows through him and he has a capable striker to feed. As I said, Barca has 16 goals in 6 games and Neymar scored 8, assisted 6. 14 of 16. That's freakish.

At least aren't just talking about Ronaldo and Messi any more.

I'mma let you finish but Ronaldo says he is the best. So modest: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34737914
I want him to play in the same team as Zlatan, wonder if he'll still be talking.

That's why we should offer Pogba + 30 mil!
