Sporting director Klaus Allofs says Julian Draxler chose Wolfsburg because “our project is better than that of Juventus”.

The Bianconeri spent most of the summer pursuing a trequartista, and had an offer for the German international rejected.

However, Draxler opted to move to Die Wolfe on deadline day, and Allofs believes that’s down to the Bundesliga side’s project.
