That humiliating defeat was mainly due to Chiellini though.. He made the wrong choices then (starting when injured, slipping, making silly fouls), let's hope he makes the right ones now.
It was more than that, there were quite a few players out injured IIRC, Chiellini going off in first few min, having only 2-3 days rest before the match etc

I don't know. What UEFA really doesn't need right now is a bad call in favour of Barcelona. Everyone will point fingers.
IMO it's more damage towards us cause I believe when people look at us the only thing they hear is Calciopoli. Yes, even now.

I think all drama play from Barca will get ignored and they will keep the big eyes on us.

Barcelona is sponsored by the Qatar foundation and is involved in a financial scandal as we speak (Neymar transfer). It is linked with all the things UEFA does not want to be a part of right now.

Good point. Let's hope this kisks-in.

We don't need any special treatment. If they beat us on the pitch, then fuck it. But if they win it with refs help, then fuck it even more.

Balzaretti played RB in that game.
Plus Prandelli shat himself in the final and changed tactics.
Italy stifled Spain in the group stages with the 3-5-2.Prandelli should've stuck with that.

Been asking myself day after day now, if we have what it takes to score at least 2 goals against them in the space of 90 minutes. I honestly believe we'll need at least that. Hopefully we can even go one better; play the game of our lives and beat them 3-2 before the final whistle. It'll have to be a scoreline like that to defeat this tremendous attacking side.

And also, if they do take the lead, it's important that the lads keep believing. No fear, just stick to the gameplan, keep doing what EuroMaxx is demanding. And we'll always have a shot.

I'm super excited, and I do fancy our chances :scarf:
We will never ever gonna score 3, unless they get a red card..

Not only stifled, but dominated Spain for the first 60-65 min of the game as well. Spain only got a foothold in the game and began to dominate when VDB took off a midfielder and put on Torres, as he was playing a stupid striker-less formation.

The final was a step too far for a tired and injury ravaged Italy. Also, they played the last 30 mins with 10 men (when they conceded another 2 goals)

But it should also be noted that this Barca team is a lot more dangerous than that 2012 Spain team. A frontline of Neymar, Suarez and Messi is just frightening. Our backline will have their work cut out for them.

But this Juve >>> Italy 2012. In every area.

I feel like so much of this tie depends upon the performance of our backline :nervous:
This and how we start the match. If we sit back we will get slaughtered. If we start like we did against Real in the first game & we take our chances then we should be alright. After a hectic week am now starting to focus on the finals. Everything this coming week will revolve around the big match.

It's only 90 mins, we have nothing to defend and nothing to lose. Our 8 players can contain barca if everyone will put the usual CL effort. Scoring against the 2nd best defence in the world will be dificult..i predict maximum 2 goals
