That gif will have a life of its own in coming days :D

I liked other moments with him, like this, where they thought they had him cornered and he wasnt having it :p

It's very stupid to play a high line against Barfelona. Predictable result.

Against Barca, I'd actually sign for a 352 but no too deep, with Vidal - Pogba - Marchisio running and defending like madmen. Morata and Tevez to decide the game on a counter.

As someone said, the worry now should be the UEFA temptation to have an El Classico. We could get robbed at Bernabeu.

Thats just making excuses in advance bro, dont think like that, thats for losers.

We got this, we will go out there and contain them, hopefully pressure them heavily at the beginning and try for early goal, Real's defence are asleep at beginning of games, its uncanny how consistent they concead goals early at times.

Not sure if joking. It's a real possibility. But players can't control it so.. gotta focus on the game.

I'm really interested in Allegri's approach here. It will be vital. He will start with 2 mistakes. Starting Pirlo and no subbing him out. Let's se if he'll be able to outdo these mistakes.

it's not for losers, any 'dangerous' treatment on cristina from chiello or licht and pk..boom.

Its baffling at times Barca's attackers didnt take advantage of this more tho, even if Neuer was alert. I mean, look at this, so far from eachother and very high up, in a weird mix of trying to man mark your attacker plus try to play them offside at the same time, ended up in some weird limbo of something inbetween, total disorganised mess that just screamed failure (most of the way they contained Barca at first was due to discplined midfield possession):

Whats Boateng doing here?

And Rafinha here?

And finally poor Benatia, cant do shit here:

Talk about utter senseless confusion and unnecessary risky approach, all on Pep IMO.
This.
Yeah Messi ofcourse did his job great, but still Bayern really was awful at the back.
Especially after the first goal.total mess at the back.

"he only does it in la liga with weak defences"

How anyone can debate that Ronaldo is a better player i will never understand it. Messi is just the best by a considerable distance, it's not even close.

The approach was poor from Pep but i think it was an impossible task for him to win tonight considering Ribery and Robben were both missing. Those 2 players add so much to Bayern's game it's like having Messi and Neymar missing for Barca.

in reality I dont think anyone stands a chance against Barcelona in this current form...
Barca is the best team left, but I think we match up with them quite well. Defensive cohesion and organization is our team's greatest strength and it will go right up against Barca's greatest strength which is of course attack. Aside from Atletico, they really haven't faces a defensive unit like ours this year. We're the best defence left in CL. I see is playing them very closely.

I really hope Allegri realizes that Pirlo will be a disaster against forwards that press as hard as Barca's do, and with so much skill. If Pogba is fit and we play Marchisio as DM, assuming we make final, i think they shall have a terribly difficult time breaking us down.

He could have tightened up the defence and not lost the tie in the first leg.

It is very close. Don't be ridiculous. Messi is better imo too. But by no means is the gap large. Messi also gets to play with Suarez and Neymar in attack which means the defence is far more occupied than with Madrid's Bale and Benzema.

:D

They are only competing in goals, anything and everything else Messi is the obvious superior player.

His stats is interesting to follow. He's the player with most goals (10), most assists (5), most chance's created (35), most dribbles (81) and most throughballs (11) in CL 14-15.

are you confident that we'll get past Real to begin with? Im beginning to fear the prospect of loosing rather badly in the away leg.

It's not close at all, Messi is a far better player than Ronaldo and the only department Ronaldo is able to keep up with Messi is goals. When u compare the goals of both players Messi has to work so much harder for his goals and does not rely on his team mates to get most of his goals.

Ronaldo is playing purely for goals and nothing else, Messi is creating the majority of the chances for Barca and scoring some very tough goals out of no where in a moment of magic.

Messi is so far ahead of Ronaldo it's not even remotely close. Ronaldo rarely impresses me when i watch him but Messi has taken my breathe away countless times this season with his amazing dribbling, passing, vision, goals and technical ability.
