With Pirlo on the bench, and a Pogba-Marchsio-Vidal-Pereyra midfield, we can do this.
Last year we all saw that the gap was not so huge. This year's Real is inferior to last year's, while this Juve is better.
But with Pirlo on the starting 11 we don't stand a chance.

:sergio:

in 2003 we had a ballon d'or winner, despite the galaticos on the other side, that is the single biggest difference.
In 2003 we had the future ballon d'or winner. Who in terms of pure potential quality, was below at least 5 real madrid players. The same can be said about Tevez or Pogba

Dont fucking try to argument for the sake of it. Stop beeing Cronios borderline evenly irritating little brother for fucking once in a while

All those pics and gifs of that 2003 semi final. My feels have been overloaded! What an emotional, amazing, beautiful and bittersweet game that was.

I think Pirlo must play vs Real.
I know that he wasn't brilliant in the last games, but i think he will feel confortable in this kind of game, especially against a spanish football philosophy. He suffers physical and pressing midfield: Kross, Isco and James are not that kind of midfielders. Also, he has a lot of experience in high level Champions League and he can make the difference on free kicks goal range (and you know, Casillas is Casillas...).

I see you like Pogba

Having Marchisio CDM allows Pogba to play far better cause he can play more advanced and press harder without worrying about getting countered.

So no, you dont think Pirlo must play

I basically agree with you, but Pogba is out for the first leg and probably also for the second leg. That's the rumors. So, in this situation, Pirlo is in.

Why are you even paying heed to rumours about Pogba's return almost 11 days out from the first leg. They have a very very rough estimate as to how long each stage of recovery and rehabilitation will go. Pogba is young so he should in general recover faster, although hamstrings can be niggly little injuries to recover from, the first leg is well within possibility, dependent on how his body reacts to each increase in recovery and training load.

We'll have a better idea of where he's at, the end of next week, and whether his recovery is going better than, worse than, or as expected.
