Seeing that UCL offers the best teams in Europe, and we've conceded half of what they have, I'm leaning that way as well.

These comparisons make no sense.
I know, but I had no other option, I like comparisons

Nah Pedro Lahm is defenitely better then Licht, offensively very much better, while Licht is better defensively, but Lahm is generally solid there too (positioning wise, not so much for strong tackling/disposing of possession). And Pirlo is DEFENITELY superior to Schweini no doubt, the latter is excellent, but just not at that level. He is generally completely found out when he faces quality midfield opposition, as seen in previous key CL games, but most clearly in the lattest Euro. Couldnt really cope as much vs the Dutch, Portuguese, Italy and most importantly the Spanish defence (especially against latter two, his first touch isnt that great, so he was pressured and harrassed off possession in a way you never see Pirlo struggle at).
You've gotta a point. U probably right.

He can fullfill that task more then Marchisio can be a winger and b compared to Ribery. They function in similar area of the pitch, with Kroos being more of a playmaker.

But does it really benefit Juve to qualify to pot 2?
It's likely that there will be Manchester City, PSG, Tottenham and maybe even Dortmund in pot 3, while pot 2 would host Atletico Madrid, Lyon, Shaktar, Benfica, Schalke, Marseille, Milan and Juventus. I would rather draw any of the 6 possible teams from pot 2 than City, Tottenham, PSG or Dortmund.
On the other hand, if 2 more higher ranked teams fail to qualify, both Man City and PSG could follow us to pot 2 and it would be obviously better to be in the same pot with them.
It's a lot of speculation, but I just want to point out that qualifying to pot 2 wouldn't necessarily benefit us.

Chiellini and Barzagli would need to be in top form to deal with Ronaldo and Di Maria, Vidal would have to play amazingly to nullify Ozil, Pirlo must avoid Khedira...then MAYBE we would pass

And our strikers actually need to score.

That is a whole bunch of "if's" :p
