Have to feel a bit sorry for Man Utd after that one.

They had set up well, were pretty well in control of the game and were ahead, only for the ref to change everything.

Only real criticism I'd have of Man Utd would be that they didn't change their defensive set-up after the red card. They were still trying to mark, even though they didn't have enough players to do that. Should have just been a case of going to a bog standard two lines of four playing zonally and trying to deny Real any space in dangerous areas.

Real Madrid were poor. They either need to get a more attacking RB or get a RW who looks to go on the outside of his man. At the moment, there's nothing to stretch an opponent into covering that side, because there is no serious threat on that flank. Because of that, it is easier than it should be for a team to clog things up and make it harder for Real to play down their very dangerous left flank.

Real's defending in the last twenty minutes was pathetic.

Didn't think Nani's challenge had either sufficient malice (there was no malice) or recklessness to warrant a red card. If people consider that dangerous and worth a red card, I want to see red cards for all overhead kicks when there is anyone within a few yards of the player attempting the kick.

So, is this a penalty+red card?
Certainly a penalty. No distance between the players, but if you go waving your hand around in the air there you are asking for trouble.

Also also didn't think there was much wrong with the goal that Real had disallowed in the first half.

Man Utd can complain all they want about the red card, but it was just a bad decision. No sign of the ref showing any bias through the rest of the match.

Agree with all of what you have said, Red. Also, United shouldn't completely blame the referee for their exit, even if he did alter how the game panned out. United had enough chances against a mediocre looking Real Madrid defence over the two legs to have gone through here regardless.

Mourinho might have been overly humble when he said the best team lost, but he knows his team were in a lot of trouble.

For me Manure can only blame Nani for the loss. Retarded challenge and a deserved red card. I know they usually don't show a red for that in the Premiership but that's their problem.

Considering the disallowed goal and the handball by Rafael I'd say the ref was more in favor of Manure than Real.

@Nzoric

You know RTS has no rights to show the game tonight? Not just tonight but I mean every match that's being played on Tuesday?

Mourinho said that whole world will stop in order to watch this clash. So I opened Blic and I see this comment:

Murinjo, gresis. Pitaj Tijanica zasto se taj sudar nece gledati Srbiji. Pitaj ga, majku mu glavatu jebem.

:lol2: I died laughing.
majktu mu glavatu jebem :rofl:
