I can confirm English people reeeally hate losing to Italian teams :D It's just the contrast in philosophy and how they play football, although the modern Juve has drawn a fair bit of admiration as well, for being able to play high tempo, physical, technical and a roughhouse game.

Yeah we clearly aren't the stereotypical Italian team, but we did show plenty of those traits against Celtic :D

Also, Spanish media and fans seem to detest Italian football...again the culture/philosophy of the two styles is quite different, although there is also a few similarities.

The Spanish hate the Italians because for decades, Italy were winners, might not have always won in a swashbuckling way, but they had a winning mentality, same as the Germans. And the Spanish always underachieved, until recently.
