I think people are exagerrating a bit with this Serie A reputation bullshit. In my eyes, currently Serie A is only behind EPL and at least equal with La Liga.
But they aren't when you compare to results and financial power. We can all say what we feel and think. But there are some very simple objective measurements, where Serie A is falling behind.

And just to add I'm a major fan of italian football and have been since '94 and it has gone downhill ever since the millenium. Slowly but surely.

Do you think a league where you know that Barca and Real will beat every team even the third on the table with 5 goals difference is interesting?

Yeap. As far as I remember nobody was after Falcao. Nobody at all.
I'd like to refer your attention to Maddy, my sidekick, at this hour. Not only did Madrid lay down 40m for one player, they're nowhere near the top of the table in Spain. And don't give me the "Well they sold De Gea and Aguero", Udinese make a ton of money each year and never do they spend a fraction of it, it goes to cover debts.

How is that relevant to what I wrote.

Do you know the debts of RM and Barcelona?

The 10 million will never add up to the money Juventus will lose with worse TV-deals and sponsorships, lack of CL football (4th place) and sale of merchandise. Italy is in a terrible financial state and therefore the italian Juventus fans (and sponsors) are no longer enough. Serie A has for years now lost market shares to England and Spain.
Again. The bigger difference between us and our opponents in our favour, the bigger chance we'll win the league and progress to the CL. A strong Juventus in CL will take a significant portion of CL money, which will only make the distance bigger between us and others in Serie A and provide us a bigger chance to repeat the process. It's like a positive feedback. And with Moratti's and Berlu's money, we really don't need to worry about how they will be doing.

And when it comes to emotions, it brings me joy when I see Inter losing to Valencia, not winning the treble. If you claim you feel otherwise, I'll accuse you of lying:)

I love seeing the enemies of Juve failing, of course.

But I still don't see Juventus benefit from a weak Serie A in the long run.

Irrelevant, they're a 10 times bigger business than us and can handle debts like that, especially with the favorable relationship they have with certain banks.
So disgusting. But the customers of the Banks are happy, because they support Real Madrid and Barcelona accordingly.
