actually, that wasn't a PK - during the game and shortly after I myself was convinced it should have been a PK but after watching it more carefully, I don't think it was - Abbiati arrived at the spot first and it weas Sanchez who bumped his legs into Abbiati's hands, not the other way around ... Abbiati had the spot first and never reached out to look for contact with Sanchez's legs.

Whether the ref saw that too and that's why he didn't give it, I don't know but it wasn't a PK.
So true. Sanchez was already falling before Abbiati made any contact. The referee also was in the perfect position to see it.

it deserves the doubt , in the rulebook holding someone from the shirt in the area is a penalty althrough it could also not been given and nobody would have said anything
Holding your opponent ALWAYS happen in corner kicks. Pulling shirts, hugging tight, riding his back always happen in corner kicks and what Nesta did wasn't even a real hold, he was also boxed out by Puyol as if they're playing basketball.

Also, refs are obliged to talk up to the players if they notice any pulling or pushing in the box and will ask the player to re-take the corner kick in-case of anything. (Usually)

That's what he said like 1 hour and a half ago.
Osman must be blind or knows shit in football.

Maradona was much more than messi because he was a much better player won games by himself , out of the field he was a drug addict
But the man had personality. Messi is no one. Sometimes I wonder if he's even real. I like Cristiano Ronaldo far far better than Messi. The guy is an absolute prick, but he exists. Messi makes me go into an existential crisis.

well busquets raised his arm to bring the ref's attention that nesta was already grabbing onto his shirt, on the move he took the fall. Really that was poor from nesta and really i think it did warrant a penalty, even though these sort of incidents are missed, but if you're going to be pulling shirts in the box you are asking for trouble, the ref took the bait but it was a penalty no matter how soft it was.
No it wasn't penalty. Even couple of Barcelona players didn't expect this and were shocked.

pulling shirts happens but it was more than usual , he hold him before the cross started and continued doing so through the whole time until the ball got to xavi . By the rulebook it is a penalty , althrough it is debatable

Yeah, playera like Tevez had it worse and are real men, unlike that pussy. No wonder he doesn't perform in his NT, I bet he gets bullied by his teammates.

So refusing to enter the field and letting ur team and coach down is what real men are all about? Tevez would be begging for food if he couldn't play the ball, he is that dumb...the guy haven't even learned English yet!

Exactly... imagine going for a pint with Messi? He'd send you to sleep! Maradona, Del Piero, Cassano, these guys would entertain you.

Eidt: B&R There's actually hardly any bitterness in this thread at all, most people are bashing Barcelona/Messi/the ref.
