Messi's a good player, but mentally he's just as big as he is physically. No character, no passion, no sportsmanship. Messi's nowhere near the moral level a grown up 24 year old should be. Maybe it's growing up in a protected Barcelona environment, maybe it's being coached ever since he was a little kid, but the guy has no personality whatsoever. Lavezzi is three times the man Messi is.
Could be because of his tough childhood, ever thought of that?

We like Aaron and Fred too but ... :D

I like Germans in general but I dislike Bayern so much that I'd even prefer Real to them.
But Liverpool and Arsenal don't have a chance to qualify for the CL semis. I doubt they'll for the next few years to come. Especially Aaron :p

Whoever says the 2nd penalty was a penalty knows shiit in football. That was not even close.

That said, Barcelona will get more help than before in the up-coming years I'm afraid.
I doubt it. Robbery like this can only go on for so long. Barcelona are very close to reaching the limit. They will crumble within this and two years. I promise. The market will be satisfied sooner or later and people will turn against them. People get bored. You once liked those great Adidas shoes, but suddenly Puma are selling even better shoes. Or so you think. Barcelona is not a football club. Barcelona is an image, a symbol, a brand. People want to identify with Barça because they think it's cool. But the interest for Catalunya only goes so far. Barcelona will be swapped for something more exciting. This is how people see football now.

Look to be fair Barcelona should have had a penalty in the first leg. Yes there was something fishy tonight, but I don't think they'd fix the matches on purpose, it more to do with refs just giving Barcelona the benefit of the doubt sometimes because they're the team that everyone likes ATM. But I don't think the Ref sits at home and plans it.
actually, that wasn't a PK - during the game and shortly after I myself was convinced it should have been a PK but after watching it more carefully, I don't think it was - Abbiati arrived at the spot first and it weas Sanchez who bumped his legs into Abbiati's hands, not the other way around ... Abbiati had the spot first and never reached out to look for contact with Sanchez's legs.

Whether the ref saw that too and that's why he didn't give it, I don't know but it wasn't a PK.

@ Seven

what you said is no different to what any club gets who dominates football. For example Man Utd get the same abuse by here in the UK, ppl accuse Howard Web and the other refs helping Man Utd. I also hear the same thing regarding Bayern Munich and German football. Barcelona are just the equivalent to those teams in europe.

Remember Barcelona should have had a penalty against Inter Milan in 2010, and Milito's goal was offside at the 3-1 win ;). Like I said I don't think the refs actually sit down and plan to make them win, they just subconsciously prefer them over the other team, because they're the one everyone likes.

it deserves the doubt , in the rulebook holding someone from the shirt in the area is a penalty althrough it could also not been given and nobody would have said anything

Notice how quickly the refs act whenever Barca are in trouble. It took less than 10 minutes tonight, the same last year with Van Persie's red, Pepe got red carded at 0:0, Thiago Motta early in the first half. They never wait for at least a 50-50 call to give it in Barca's favor. They give reds and penalties after the very first foul when the result doesn't suit Barca.

This is also very true. I've been saying this since 2006 but was considered a fool. Their no sponsor shit was the most ridiculous thing ever, together with their Unicef stunt.
