Predictable draw
Agree.

FIFA prolly banked in for a real - Bayern, barca - Chelsea (just for the sake of it) and a real - barca final.

Just when I thought Barca - united couldn't get anymore disgusting, Barca - real appears :depressed

You really think we might have seen Barca - Real in the 1/4s? I have a funny feeling that was somehow never going to happen.
I think there was as much chance of them playing each other as there was of any other teams being drawn together.

Given the nastiness in most Real-Barca games, I don't know how keen UEFA would be for them to play the final, anyway.

I think UEFA is secretly hoping for Milan vs Real in the final. The two greatest European teams of all time, they could really market that game. It would be funny if it ended up being APOEL v Benfica.

Claims of fixed draws.
I'd agree with you normally, and this is the first time i have my doubts on the integrity of the draw, but it all seems to convenient, don't have anything concrete, and in the end its nothing but speculation, but it really is all too convenient for my liking.

Can you imagine the money they'd make out of a Barca - Real final?

It's all in the money, if we get eliminated (seriously, there's no way we'll win, and if we play Barca they'll kill us and urinate on our graves) I hope Bayern wins it at home.

How would they make significantly more money from it than from other finals?

I think we can all agree that Bayern winning the CL is the best possible solution

Do they not stand to gain more money, if there was more interest and more viewers?

Honest question.
They might do in future years when TV deals and sponsorships are re-negotiated.

In the short term I would think it would be the TV companies that would make more cash as they could sell advertising for more if there was going to be more viewers.

I can't think of how UEFA could immediately benefit financially from a Real-Barca final, unless UEFA puts some strange clauses into the contracts they sign with sponsors and TV companies.

Would a Real-Barca final get significantly bigger interest than, for instance, Man Utd-Barca did? I think most football fans watch the CL Final regardless of who is playing, so I'm not sure how much room for greater interest there is in a single year.

This is just me best-guessing on the spot, though, so I may be completely off the mark.

Yeah but having Boateng and Badstuber as your CB's makes it impossible to win it for them.
Yeah, you'd have to think Bayern would need to score an awful lot of goals if they were to win the thing.
