Is there any Dani Alves doubters left? (Not sure if there's many Dani doubters here but on United forums there's plenty) He raped Clichey on the attack and ate Nasri on the defence. The 'Dani Alves can't defend™©' myth once against is proved to be a myth. Not saying he's a great defenisvley, but he does a good job.
Since when were there any good defending Brazilian wing-backs anyways?

For a Brazilian wing-back defense comes after attack. Maicon and Cafu are/were quite good defenders of course.

I don't think Maicon is that much of good defender, he's blessed with great physical attributes of pace and strength that makes him able to match most wingers the world, but his positioning (just like Alves) and his pure tackling skills are not that great.
He's better than Dani defensivley tho.

I don't like Dani Alves. The guy isn't much of a defender but is really just an extra winger who tracks back. Pedro would look even more shit than he is if not for Alves. But just as bad are all the announcers who pronounce his name "Al-vez" as if he's Spanish when his name is really pronounced "AL-veszh" in Brazilian Portuguese. Ronaldinho was not pronounced with a Spanish "ho" as you would pronounce the 'h' in "inhóspito".
You have one of the weirdest pet peeves in Pedro :D Pedro doesnt look better because of Alves, because the wings he played most in is left side, not the right. And he has alot of freedom to move, and does more damage when he sweeps in central, then hugs the line (more likely to do that on left). He plays right when Villa plays there and Messi right, when Villa is center (or center right), he plays left forward, which is his main position.

If anything, Barça will be even more motivated to buy him. He already knows how to pull off skillful, attacking passes next to the opposition penalty area.

Djourou. I'm starting to like him. I don't know where Vermaelen is, what happens when he returns?
He is still out for a few weeks, to be honest, don't think we will see much of him this season.

I think you're getting a little mixed up here Osman. Its Pedro that is mostly on the right and Villa on the left, very rarely is it the opposite.
