Excellent first half. Good set up by allegri and very god approach.
Morata and Cuadrado

Second half Allegri fuked it up with the Morata -Mandzukic sub. The guy was semi injured and we all know Zaza would have put the insane worload required for the moment. Thats on you allegri.
Khedira is "has been material" already, but hernanes wass adding nothing. That was another mistake.

Evra the cherry on the cake.

Honorable mention to Sandro. The guy is stellar.

Fuk Coman and Fuk our board for selling him.

Apart from our royal fuk up in the first leg (maybe on allegri too)....we simply are a level below the top sides. Not because we suck, not because we lack grinta.....is because we lack more STELLAR OFFENSIVE PLAYERS.

Until hte board doesnt egt this inside their skulls..we will continue grinding games that we should have sealed.
Morata and Cuadrado. 2 players we might not see here next season. Hopefully they are replaced with adequate players and add a RB and a couple of other players to win this fucking cup.

very often matches like these are the turning point for the CL winner. They will get a huge confidence boost for their come back. It gives them a huge mental lift.
Mark my words .They won't win the CL.I can bet on than.Neither that gypsy coach is so good neither their "zillion" players can do that. It;s not because we lost the match. It;s a fact.Again, watch and see.

With a full squad I don't think we have much to fear from anyone, if you put Barcelona and their alien front line to one side. Anyone could lose this game in the context. I didn't expect a deep CL run this year but QFs, which is a minimum and fairly easy if you win your group. We should have done, we then would have made the QFs, but we weren't going to win it. For this elite level the team has stepped back at least a year in terms of CL experience/quality mix, but by next year we have to go again.

It hasn't fell into place well with fitness, we've had a lot of work to do to catch up with league results. The injuries are partly to do with that. The missing players tonight but look how many are playing who don't have 90 minutes in them. Khedira is the worst one. Mandzukic now, it's stop start all the time. Our domestic season has definitely hindered us in the CL this year. But I suppose it works both ways, and Napoli won't be happy to see us out.
:agree:

But I think, despite going out, we have proved we belong there. I think if we got anyone bar Barca other than Bayern we probably would've progressed. As long as we learn from it and top up with quality players, hopefully sort out our fitness issues, we will look to go quite deep next year if all goes well. As you said we just didn't have the legs. Am I disappointed? A little yeah, am I proud? Yes, definitely. It hold us in good sted, of that I'm confident.

Nah. Their defense will get exposed against Barca most likely. They will score for fun against them.

I mean, if we could do this damage to them...

Max Allegri felt Juventus “went too deep" when leading Bayern Munich and explained his choices.

The Bianconeri were 2-0 up, but were pegged back to 2-2 in stoppages and fell 4-2 in extra time.

“It’s a shame to be eliminated after a performance like that, against a Bayern side that has extraordinary players,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“Football is wonderful because with a minute to go in the first half, Juan Cuadrado could’ve made it 3-0, Alvaro Morata had important chances and Stephan Lichtsteiner could’ve scored a crucial goal.

“Mario Mandzukic hit the goalkeeper square on in extra time and we could’ve opened it up again even after going 4-2 down.

“Winning 2-0 at half-time was not easy, we played with character and should’ve controlled the last two balls better. Above all on the first goal we should’ve put it out for a throw-in.”

Morata had a goal incorrectly disallowed for offside in the first half, but Allegri shrugged off the questions.

“There’s no point talking about the referee. I only compliment my team. It was an important test for us, even with a new line-up we played on level terms with one of the favourites to win the Champions League.

“It’s a shame, we are upset, but have to put this aside because on Sunday there’s the Turin Derby and then the break will let us recover some of the injured players.”

Allegri was asked about his substitutions, specifically replacing man of the match Morata with Mario Mandzukic.

“I introduced someone fresh like Mandzukic who could hold the ball up. I thought Bayern’s two little defenders at the back couldn’t put up with him.

“Unfortunately, he then went very deep and they raised the two centre-backs. We should’ve been sharper in our goal-scoring opportunities and do some situations better.

“It’s a shame, as with the equaliser we should’ve been sharper and more clear-headed. They weren’t doing much at all and it wouldn’t have been a danger.

“After 70 minutes we lost intensity, that is football…”

The final goal was scored by Kingsley Coman, who is on a two-year loan with option to buy from Juventus.

“He had a good game and with the goal was able to run into open space. He’s improving a lot and can do very well in Germany, because he’s in a team eight steps above the rest and therefore has space to show his quality.”

Gigi Buffon insists he is “proud of this team” and Juventus will learn from their extra time exit to Bayern Munich.

The Bianconeri fought back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 in the first leg, while Bayern did the same at the Allianz Arena.

In extra time, Thiago Alcantara and Kingsley Coman secured the 4-2 victory on the night, 6-4 on aggregate.

“Football is made up of incidents. In the second half they played a very attacking game and converted their chances.

“It’s disappointing to concede at the 90th minute, but I am proud of this team,” the captain told Mediaset Premium.

“This is a defeat that needs to make us realise we’ve climbed another step up the ladder compared to last season.

“We have gone out with our heads held high.”

Juventus director Beppe Marotta blamed the officials for their Champions League exit to Bayern Munich. “Errors at this level are costly.”

The Bianconeri had been 2-0 up at the Allianz Arena, but were pegged back to 2-2 in stoppages and capitulated 4-2 in extra time.

“The Alvaro Morata disallowed goal would’ve changed the face of the match. Certain errors at this level are costly, they make a big difference,” the director general told Mediaset Premium.

“I am not here to seek alibis, but I hope that in future Italian football is better protected. Certain refereeing performances are painful.

“I want to underline the great performance from the lads and the credit goes to our Coach. We must also remember the quality of Bayern.

“We almost achieved something remarkable, it’s a shame because it was a minute and a half from the end.

“Now we have to cancel out this memory, turn the page and think of Sunday’s derby against Torino. We want to do well, especially as the Serie A race is still open.”

Do you remember how we got killed by Bayern last time we went 352 a few years back?

You need a back 4 to cope with their wingers. Playing wing backs would've resulted in a back 5 pretty much and no width going forwards.

Our formation worked perfectly today. It's just a shame Allegri didn't have any other ideas for when our players got tired. Morata still looked like he had more to give. Could Khedira have given another 5 - 10 minutes?

Lol. We're not a level below Bayern. We have the more talented team and we would have advanced were it not for allegri's slip up. It's a shame, but it happens. We are a top club. We will compete every year.

PROUD OF OUR TEAM.
Cruel way to go out,but the depth and the injuries made it very hard tonight.
No one's fault players were tired and the bench didn't delivertonight.
Kudos to everyone,we lacked little luck and depth.but that's football.
We were really close, and we're on the right path no doubt.
We will learn from that, and only keep on improving.
That was a semi-final or even final match level.
Forza Juve!!

Yes we are. If we cant score to seal games, we are. Their offense was the difference in this hard fought 2 games.

No 2 ways.

We didn't just miss those three players. We also missed Khedira. He was dead ~60th minute and he had to be subbed off.

It's incredible how we collapse when Marchisio and Khedira don't play and Hernanes and Sturaro take their places. All our 4 defeats in serie A, as well as the coppa 0:3 humiliation in Milano, came when these two weren't on the pitch.

The central midfield must be the priority in the summer. It's painfully obvious that we're missing a lot there with Vidal and Pirlo gone, and with Khedira not being able to run for more than an hour. When he's not injured, that is.
