Even Rugani for Evra would have stopped the two goals I guarantee it.
No way jose. Evra might have been slow but experience and intelligence at this level is everything for a defender. I don't think rugani would have helped. Frankly I don't think we had a wildcard on the bench unlike bayern. But again I curse these injuries. Ironically had mandzukic been fit though we would never have seen the display from morata. In the end it just wasn't meant to be.

We shouldn't make a small note of how important the ref was tonight, because he was absolutely key. He was soft, softer than baby shit. Any pressure on him and he folded. Bayern players picked up on this and were all over him, at that point they were desperate, but eventually those cards added up and it made Juve terrified to make a tackle. It's difficult to press and make little contact, and this contributed to us standing off a lot. Obviously it's a natural thing for any team to get protective the later this kind of game goes on, especially this Juve team, tiredness and all the rest of it, but you can thank Guardiola and his oppression of refs for some of this.

He's simply a cunt and Bayern are arrogant at boardroom level, really those are things that separate the clubs and stop me admiring Bayern, who would otherwise be a good model. Hopefully he fucks City either way because they deserve nothing more :D

We were in it in the first place because of Allegri. His subs didnt work out but you can see the reasoning behind it. Tiny details decided the game (last few minutes of the second half, ref in the first half, Nuer wonder save, Licht's shot in extra time).

The injuries and difference in squad size haunted us in the end. We were exhausted after 70 minutes and Bayern could sub in Thiago and Coman.
We could not have kept possession for 90 minutes.
Except for Mandzukic over zaza. No tactical reason for that in that Situation. He would have been Perfect for that specific Game and Situation. But sturaro.. Everybody praised him in the First Game and he Scored a very Important goal. He just let allegri down. Can't blame that on the coach. Pereyra.. Well who Else did we have with all These injuries.

I missed the time when we had technically gifted players who could protect the ball, pass it around and waste time by winning throw ins, fouls and corner kicks. I remember when back in the days Camoranesi and Del Piero managed to waste the entire 4 minutes of the added time like this. Tonight, in the last half and hour and the ET, we had only Pogba surrounded by technical mediocrity and a super slow and useless Hernanes.
i take you remember how licht fucked up possession before their equaliser ?

Thats when you need to have that deep midfielder passing it around with bonucci and the fullbacks.

Really?

This defeat doesn't hurt that much for me. We are at the start of a new cycle don't forget. And we showed that we can stand toe to toe with one of the best teams in the world. Luck, bad subs and Bayern's insane attacking quality changed the game tonight. On another night we might have gone through.
Definitely. Like it sucks obviously but I didn't expect us to go all that far this year. We will learn from these mistakes.

Do people understand why some teams close games out attacking when they are 2-0 up? The other team gives up. Bayern pushed us back, which is completely expected in Munich, we were a minute away from holding on. We didn't. Shit happens. We have shown we belong in that elite bracket however.

No idea how we made this. Worst 90 minutes I can remember from Bayern.
That retro peasant Muller alongside Lewandowski are the most dirty players in the world.Diego Costa from Chelsea is a child to them especially Muller. And what about that so called "offside" when Morata scores when Kimmich ,your prospect was i nside?.Not a" o" of offside.I expect that you will play as a giants but what you show was awful. Yeah, yeah you are through due to our mistakes. But your coach took a lesson from our what tactic means ,at least before our subs.Yes you beat us and you don't deserve that but mark my word ,there is no way that you will win a CL this year.Watch and see. This goes all to our coach and wrong subs.Enjoy the win.

It is so frustrating and heartbreaking to go like this. we threw away a 2 goal lead by conceding two stupid goals. Muller alone in the penalty area for an easy header.

For a team that hasnt conceded goals in over 10 matches in serie A, our defending was pathetic over the two legs.

I still cant believe this is happening. The worst way to lose. Give me a 6-0 anyday over this type of elimination.

And the saddest part... in the past years the team that eliminated a guardiola´s team went on to win the CL.

I am just destroyed emotionally....

Mandzu is more experienced and is better at scoring headers and offers defensive workrate too. Either of them would have been starved of service because we began defending deeper after morata was subbed. so I dont think choosing him over zaza was a key decision.

No one foresaw that sturaro was going to have a bad game like that. Khedira has fitness issues. He also wasn't the only one that was poor in possession Evra and licht were sloppy at the end too.

I don't know how you can be so sure about that. It's hard not to predict changes in the next 2 mercatos, for coach and best players -through transfer or retirement. We could be at the start of another new cycle soon.

very often matches like these are the turning point for the CL winner. They will get a huge confidence boost for their come back. It gives them a huge mental lift.

0-3 at half time and we woul have gone through. I just knew at the back of my mind that Neuer's save would be crucial. That's the main sticking point for me. Ah well, one thing is for sure, if Bayern play like they did (in the first half) against Barcelona, they will get totally raped.

I completely agree with this. We were shocking tonight. :)
A miracle we made it through.

I think we need to have two days rest no training. Some light training the next day and that's all. We need to reduce our intensity in training. Need more rest if we have any chance of winning.
