Given the CL performances so far, you are quite happy to take on Barca in the next round rather than player a relatively weak opponent?
agree with you they are much better than us

in 2003 we were in the final (they were poor) we lost by pn's kick agains milan

last season we were close but the dump (Ranieri) was at turin..did u see chelsea's match?

im not saying we will win the CL..we allready suffering from 96,but at least

i have hope that we do have a nice team right now that keeps our hope gorw up.

Damn, looking at the standings in all groups. If we finish 2nd, which seems quite likely now, we are so gona get a huge tie in the first knockout:

http://www.uefa.com/competitions/ucl/standings/index.html

All big teams are already sitting pretty at the top.
Well, if we do, what can you do. If we had to get one of the top teams, might as well give us Barca. Let the competition give us the best they've got.

We will get, Sevilla or Lyon, Liverpool is not going to be on top, I can assure you that guys, with lucas they can't do shit :L... I think Fiorentina has a good chance to qualify this time :), as they have two game vs debrecen, they can gain confidence :)... Anyways, I still belive we will finish on top :)
we have to beat palermo first to gain confidence, then fuck up jews, and bayern most probably will win one game and draw the other one with bordoex, and last game will decide who is going to be on top :)

I don't know what everyone's so worried about.

We're the only team in the group that hasn't played against Maccabi and we took a point away from home against our strongest competitors in the group. I'm confident we can grab 6 points against M.H, at which point we'll be sitting pretty on 8.

Keep your heads up guys, we've only played 2 matches out of 6.

If we can get a good score against Maccabi in next CL matches while Munich and Bordeaux ended up in a draw, situation will completely change for us, with Munich, Bordeaux and us standing on 5 points.

I am hoping between munich - bordeaux, one would be the dominant team, I'd prefer a 2 horse race for one spot than 3 for 2 seeing that our last two matches is vs bordeaux and munich

Guys, I saw the match today and I have to say that we are missing something.

Yes, we do have Camoranesi, Diego, Marchisio, and Melo. However, I feel there was an element missing in today's match which I can't pick-out.

My strongest suggestion is that our FITNESS is SHIT! I don't mean that our players were out-run by Bayern, but once we got the ball and we lost it a little, we woudn't hustle to get it back and quickly conserve our energy and go back down to our territory. It seems as though we were playing it TOO SAFE.

Going back a few days to what Ferrara said, I think he's right about running a few risks and going forward with more freedom (although the latter is my interpretation of what he said). Like AC Milan (previously, not this year) who ran into spaces more often instead of going back and getting organized. It seems to me as if we're trying to play too much when in fact in the UCL, you can afford to go forward and create some spaces.

In summary, I think we need to improve our fitness. If we play like this, I am almost certain we won't win it - in this form I am betting we will only get as far as the knock-out stages.

Let me know what you guys think.

that is clearly not right...Marchi, Camo and even Diego were running back like animals to stop Bayern's counter-attacks...that is precisely why we did NOT conserve our energy and when our time came to step up the pressure in the 2nd half, nobody had enough energy and there was no movement going in the forward direction

All in all, a good result which could have went either way, a lot more Bayern's way but with the amount of chances they missed, we really should have punished them.

3 capital mistakes by Ciro:
1. Playing Grygera instead of Zebina. Grygera is useless going forward and is not much better defensively. True Ribery is not easy to mark but Zebina would have been much more useful, especially gong forward. There were a number of chances where we could have penetrated from the right back position but Grygera squandered it.
2. Subbing Trez out instead of Iaquinta. The latter yesterday had one of his worse games of the season. Was practically invisible and didn't look sharp at all. If anyone was to score a goal yesterday, that was Trez and not Iaq.
3. Subbing in Amauri instead of DP. I don't care about injuries or fitness, if he was on the bench, DP had at least 30 minutes in him. A completely off-form Amauri instead of DP is inexcusable for Ferrara.

Maccabi -win
Maccabi -win
Bordeaux -draw
Bayern - Win

Thats 10 points plus the 2 we already have :)
well we can say that bayern, juve and bordeaux will get 6 points after confronting maccabi...who doesn't get them are nearly out of the league.

Ah my bad, Ribery kept destroyed our whole right side, especially in the first half. But still, Grosso was awful.
did u expect grosso with his pace to keep up with ribery? i sincerely not ...

You're not making sense Dus... why put him on the bench if you think it's risky playing him?

Once you put a player on the bench there's no ifs, he's either an option to use or keep him out of the squad. Very simple. If Del Piero isn't 100% then dont take him and put Seba on the bench.

All in all not playing him at least 15min doesn't make sense to me at all.

what about palermo game, are we going for a draw there too ?
if we draw there too we're in crisis (if inter will win)... too many games without victory, i don't want to think about the boys morale.

Are you saying you are unhappy with a draw at a packed Allianz stadium against another CL contender?
well we could forced the win not the equal..the things changed after half time and from the 70-80th minute we could've tried to give a knock-out... Getting diego and not bringing del piero was stupid imo. We have 2 points, it ain't good but it ain't bad at all. A win at the frenchies is vital + 6 points with maccabi.

Oh and another thing..the schedule isn't helping us ...we're playing the last game (maybe a decisive one) at bordeaux..
