This game was hyped up as the tie of the week/round but never really lived up to the expectations.

Getting a point at Munich isnt a bad result though. But it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth when Bordeaux scored the winner 7 minutes from time in the other game in this group.

It looked like Ciro really played for a draw today, maybe in the first half we where looking for the goal, but ever since Diego was substituted for Poulsen, it was evident we looked for a point. Which imo is slightly disappointing. This game could have gone both ways. Of course its possible that Diego wasnt fit enough to play 90 minutes, but with him off we had even less creativity.

I would have liked to see DP coming on (after Diego was off). And i didnt understand why didnt Ciro bring him on. We have seen in the past how he brings the goods in CL ties. And it def felt we where missing that something special, that sparkle.

Iaquinta was selfish in his chances. There was this chance where if he had given the ball to Trez, we might have scored, but he decided, after winning the ball, to go for the glory himself and failed with the shot.

Of course its possible, DP was never fit enough, but why was he listed in the bench then?

I think now best we can do is get 2nd spot in this group. I think we should root for Bayern to do double over Bordeaux? Cause then we will have better chances and as we play Bayern in the last round at home, Bayern could give us the game if they are already sure of being group winners.

Its still of course wide open, but those 2 ties between Bayern and Bordeaux will show the truth of Bordeaux destiny imo. And if we win 2 games against the minnows and Bayern does a double, we could have a easier game in france, and then the Bayern game at home.
agree with everything, Stephan.

That happens when your on a rough patch of form. Players start trying to "create" and end up just mucking up the situation instead of making the routine or easy play.

Stevie G does this a lot when Pool get in a bind.

Guys, i think we will finish 2nd in this group.

So that means we will have to play the first knockout match 2nd leg away! And its been a while this happened. Dont know if it will be positive or negative, but we are usually used to "fix" our first leg problems at home in the second leg. (Madrid, Bremen, almost Chelsea)
The bigger problem with finishing second is playing a group winner i.e. Barca, Man Utd, Chelsea etc.

Juve sure spanked the Bavarians.
Bayern never had a hope since they aren't Juve Material.

Agree with everything

It pisses me off to holy hell that we came to this game more intent on not losing, rather than to go for the win....and our gameplay proved that

We were inferior in every aspect of the game, except in the goalkeeping department. This team is NOT as good as everyone thinks, including our clueless board, and the lack of trophies to put in our cabinet come May will prove that

Ferrara may not be the coach we need to put this team on a championship level......

Considering our main Injuries " Sissoko and Cannavaro " and those players who are just back from injuries and not completely fit " Diego and Del Piero " plus playing in Allianz Arena...I think Ferrara's subs were good to save the point..It wont have been good if we rushed to score a goal and conceded one from a counter attack...this result is great and i think our performance when sissoko and canna are back would be much better..because all the problems' source is the defence
