And if by defending crosses, you mean at the back post, what actually preventing crosses on the left wing? I'm pretty sure Asa is better at that, and well, overall defending.

Is Evra really a better defender than Asamoah though? I know asamoah is shorter but we have a tall team, i wouldn't sacrifice him just for height on set pieces.

Asa is not a beast in attack.

Well I think so ,anyway it isn't his primar role but nevertheless he is much better than Evra both in attack or in defense.Quicker,better technique,stronger shoot .... etc,I will always pick Asa over Evra.

I follow Red's opinion on it yes.

After all, Evra has alot of experience with it from the EPL as a natural leftback, where as Asamoah barely did it as a wingback/central midfielder.

I recall him not beeing that effective at it when he played leftback a few time last season.
