Judging by that it's very easy to win matches and pretty much all competitions.

We never looked like we wanted to win. And we didn't. We never came to the final third. Was it because of the numbers of defenders? We should apply the same next time, at least we won't lose like this.
Not really easy, but it does help having superb defense which atletico have. As a unit they defent fantasticly. I don't get whats so surprising though? Thats their style and they're champions of spain and runners op of europe to a second team in spain. This could have ended any way - a win, draw or loss. Sadly we lost, but we lost to a very strong opponent and gave them a fight too.

We weren't allowed to do more. No substitution would have changed this fact. Their stamina is out of this world. The discipline in their play is admiring. They have excellent footballers, but not world class ones. Their results are about physical preparation and discipline.

I actually enjoyed the game. One can rarely see so much motivation and passion in the 2nd round of the group stage. It felt like a knockout match with so much at stake.
Exactly. And agreed on your first paragraph.

I am not upset w the result per se but I dont understand why after a good first half, and then atletico changed their game and opened up in the second, we allowed them to come but not take that opportunity to do the same? We honestly could have because atletico was beatable tonight. I dont think its so much of them winning but juve lost.

Its very disheartening to see that and only panic and making the subs after 80th min. It just shows that we were taking things for granted.
We were pussies in the second half. Atletico's stamina is amazing, though and it was a deserved victory. We were lucky not to concede a pk too.

Like I said multiple times, in big games you can't ask one man (Tevez) do be our only goal threat.

So we have no attacking mid, no wingers and one of our strikers (Llorente) offers absolutely nothing infront of goal

How can we expect to score against top defences with no creativity and an absolute passenger upfront.

We got beat. No way around it folks. No excuses. We were beat fair and square and they were the better team in the box.

You can't have as much possession as we did and create NOTHING out of it because it will cost you. And it did.

Those fuckers nullify everything.
It's crazy and I don't remember when was the last time I've seen this from another team. I'm not sure if I've seen it at all. The closest to this is 1995-1998 Juventus.
They'd be unstoppable if they had more talent to match their physicality.

And they got that.

1 point would have been a good result for us. Couldn't even manage that when they parked the bus for the game. AND we had a full roster minus Barzagli. On paper, the minimum should have been at least a tie.
We still only gave away two shots on goal. This isn't the end of the world. It's the Spanish champions and the CL finalists. Our problem is still our attacking play. People here got too excited about our season start even though we havnen't played better in attack under Allegri.

Folks, it's not the end of the world right now.

But it will be when we need to win against Atletico at home in match day 6 to progress.

4 point vs Olympiakos and we are probably through. Absolutely gutted the way we lost, but we had a nice showing, some positives can be seen from tonight's game mostly in our approach.

Same people think it would be a different outcome had it been someone else. Like Badass said 'no wonder they win with this ref' etc. And yes, it's another excuse for our hardcore fans.

:gsol: we did good, but that ref... :gsol:

zero shots on goal

athletico was not much better, and this should have been a draw. getting 6 yellows and constatnt fk against when no faul was commited, made this match what it was.

Barca vs inter. Where Mourinho masterminded a 10 men inter to go pass the barca girls.

I'm not saying its the end of the world.

I'm saying we lost and we deserved it. Our performance was pathetic.

My mom came down halfway and askes "why is everyone in this match so tense?"

I dont know for me I think this Juve team has the calibre and could have done a lot more which they didnt and it was disappointing. Atletico was good but I think we couldve given them a run for their money too had we played our usual game.

The bad games from some of our players was uncharacteristic and could be either a fitness or mental issue, both which Allegri should have picked up later in 2nd half.
