I was thinking...Immobile left Italy to go to a team that's now fighting for survival

Poetic justice?
Wasn't he always talking about how he demanded to play at a big club? I mean he's not necessarily wrong, BVB is gonna be the biggest club in Bundesliga 2 by far...

Immobile starts for Dortmund in Bundesliga:

0 wins --- 6 losses --- 3 draws

7 goals scored --- 14 goals allowed.

Immobile 29 shots attempted --- 3 goals --1 assist in these 9 matches.

Now add to that, he hasn't scored a single goal in a sub appearance either.

He is going to be back in Italy in August at the latest. Fans are not convinced of him, the media isn't, Dortmund definitely will be motivated to make some drastic changes, he needs to play in order participate in the EC2016.

Everything is set for a return. Everything is set is for a mediocre career a la Gilardino/Osvaldo/Pazzini/Amauri. He can be a big fish in a small pond, but nothing more. He would fit good into modern Milan.

Marotta often criticized for supposedly not being able to sell well should be praised for selling him for around 19m. Work done by Juventus, not by Torino.

Gilardino hasn't exactly had a mediocre career.
