With Gilardino in Genoa, I'm not sure if Immobile will get much chances there.

He's a striker. Those guys have a high price and imo we could always get at least 4m eur for half the contract of a young striker. My regret isn't selling Immobile. Not at all. My regret is selling him for "only" 4 million. If we waited for a year and a half and loaned him in the meantime, we could get much more from his sale while the minimum we were gonna get for half his contract was still gonna be 4m eur.

Looking at the positive side of the deal though...we got money which can be used in the remaining two days of this mercato and we're no longer (hopefully) out of that threesome between Genoa, Inter and Milan, where the merdas were doing shady deals with Genoa, getting good players out of there and beating them easily in serie A, almost as if Genoa didn't want to get any points from those two.

Same here.

It's a rushed sale imo, unless there is something more in the background. Serie B or not, the kid is not even 22 years old and he's on the way to score 30 goals in the season. We could always sell half of his contract for 4m, but we could get much much more if he keeps scoring.
And if he only scores 4 more goals from now until the summer?

How much do young Serie B top scorers cost when getting signed up by a team in Serie A? How much did Eder cost for example?

Empoli paid €2.3m to get the other half of his contract from Frosinone after his strong Serie B form. Last summer Cesena paid €2.8m for full ownership of him, off the back of a mediocre season.

It would depend on who's selling and who's buying. It's different if Juventus are selling or Frosinone. Hamsik, after his serie B season, would have cost more imo if it was a richer team than Brescia selling and richer team than Napoli buying.

Tak!

Would have made more sense selling half his ass to Fiorentina, as a "sorry for Amauri and that he messed you up, but here use this". Gila, as Alen is saying, has a much bigger rep. I would however like to say that this guy should have been in our first team since 1-2 seasons back instead of all the assfaces and douchebags we've used as benchwarmers. Anyone could have done a better job than what they have done. So can we please start learning something? Maybe, just maybe, instead of splashing money around on useless shit like Toni, Iaquinta, Amauri, Boriello etc, instead keep our young jedi's around for young jedi war tricks on others asses when our regulars are unfit.

Why waste money on people who won't be given any time on the pitch? Let our younger players stay and play as backups and be given 15-20 min here and there in games that are already finished. By saving that money, fetch some REAL class and not Boriello...

Official: Juventus sells Ciro Immobile to Genoa

Juventus has announced on their official website that the club has sold young attacker Ciro Immobile to Genoa for a fee of 6.7 million pounds to be paid in installments over the next three years.

At the same time, the Turin side has re-purchased 50 percent of the player's economical rights for 3.3 million pounds to be paid over three years.

Genoa was keen to add some more depth to their attack after previously already signing Alberto Gilardino, and head coach Pasquale Marino has now got the extra striker he had set his sights on.

Immobile is a product of the Juventus youth academy, and spent the first half of the 2011-12 campaign on loan at Pescara.

However, the Bianconeri terminated his successful loan spell on Monday in order to sell the 21-year-old to Genoa.
