I was at that game, too. Were you with the Juve fans? I don't think we applauded that goal to be honest

I also remember a DP goal which was ruled wrongly flagged offside. It would've been 2-2 and we get to the semis with the away goals rule. I hated Liverpool since that day.

I had to sit with the scousers and they knew I was a Juventino cos I didn't join in any of their songs and didn't celebrate their goals, I was even scared to celebrate when Cannavaro scored :

I am not talking about Juve fans such as us that knew we had a very slow team under Capello, not suited for CL-football. I'm talking about media, football fans in general, etc. Juve were looked upon as a powerhouse with world class players on every position.
