Poor Ciro. A manager in way over his head. No support from the front office. Being asked to bleed for his black and white stripes the only way he knows how now: to take all the insults and criticism until Bettega and company find a way to dig this team out and relieve the guy.

Say what you will about his pretty crappy management skills, his role is now to be a punching bag until further notice.
Totally agree. Feel bad for Ciro as now he's taking all the blame when it's Juve's management who doesnt have an effing clue.

I don't feel bad for Ciro at all. He is annoying me. And the longer this goes on the clearer it is that his ego is much more important to him than the club.

Yes, our president should be nothing but our banker. And our Secco should be working under a more experienced transfer expert...but they don't pick the team. They don't train the team. CIRO DOES.

he deserves respect for his playing days, but no respect for his managerial efforts. None whatsoever...no matter how much dignity he has, or how wonderfully gritty and exemplary he was as a player. It means shit to me, when we are getting outclassed by the likes of Bari and Catania, humiliated by our greatest rivals, and playing with no passion or heart or tactical confidence.

EVERY manager who has shown nothing but ineptitude deserves derision. And the 'its not my decision...i have the faith of the board...i can turn things around...' bullshi wore thin many weekes and losses ago.

I am not demanding he throw himself on his own sword, but if Juve was in his heart as much as many of you assume, he would have resigned by now...but he hasn't. Not because he would feel like he is letting Juve down, he has already done that, but because he would be letting HIMSELF down...and its this which is pissing me off. he is losing my respect as a man.

Make excuses, add reminders of the need to give new managers time, if you please...but the facts and results and horrible performances, speak for themselves.

he is an awful manager. blaming Blanc is pointless, same goes for Secco, same goes for Elkann...yes that bunch need to bring in more experience, and change their positions, or pull up their trousers and stop asking to be fucked. BUT...Ciro is to blame for the team being so poor. first and foremost, Ciro.

not one bright spark has been seen, other than in one game, against a sampdoria team who capitulated quite easily and played against us on a night when it appears all our luck for the whole season was used in 90 minutes...

He is insulting Rocky Balboa by accepting the comparison. and that, to the boy in me who still reveres that dumb beast with a heart of gold as one of my heroes, is tantamount to treason, for which Ciro should be hung. Or sent to the gulags...

“My friend, one of the few that I have recently, told me: 'You are like Rocky'. I have taken so many punches and am covered in blood but I still say to my opponent: 'You can't hurt me,' and then I come out even stronger because you aren't hurting me. There is nothing that can put me down,” Ferrara concluded, before been escorted to the gallows and hung in front of the joyful hordes who had traveled from far and wide to see what had been desired for many weeks by the scores of juventini the galaxy over .

We're not indestructible,
Baby better get that straight.
I think it's unbelieveable,
How you give into the hands of fate.
Some things are worth fighting for,
some feelings never die.
I'm not asking for another chance,
I just wanna know why.

(chorus)
There's no easy way out,
There's no shortcut home.
There's no easy way out,
Giving in can't be wrong.

I don't wanna pasify you,
I don't wanna drag you down.
But I'm Feeling like a prisoner,
Like A Strange in a no-name town.
I See all the angry faces,
Afraid that could be you and me.
Talking about what might have been,
Thinking about what it used to be.

(chorus)
There's no easy way out,
There's no shortcut home.
There's no easy way out,
Giving in can't be wrong.

Baby Baby we can shed this skin,
We can know how we feel inside.
Instead of going down an endless road,
Not knowing if we're dead or alive.
Some things are worth fighting for,
some feelings never die.
I'm not asking for another chance,
I just wanna know why.

(chorus)
There's no easy way out,
There's no shortcut home.
There's no easy way out,
givin in, givin in, can't be wrong.

(repeat and fade)
so, is Ciro driving his Fiat through Turin having flashbacks of the good ol' days while playing with Juve, and then remembering the recent past of managerial destruction ??

Tell Ciro Balboa to get his rematch with Apollo Creed while coaching another team !!:andy2:

Club Focus - Juventus - From the sublime to the ridiculous there is only one step, and Ferrara found it

By Mina Rzouki

It is strange to think that this was the same team that superbly defeated Sampdoria a mere few months ago as we now watch them tumble down a well of ludicrousness. What a hideous game that epitomises the hideous season Juventus have had so far. For those feeling positive, I urge you to turn and look away now, this Club Focus is not for you. For those feeling a similar state of depression who only wish to wallow in self pity, read on. The Old Lady appears to have entered into a tunnel that has no light at the end of it and barring a massive overhaul of players, Coaches and management, it is difficult to see how this team can pick itself up and dust off the failure that has encompassed it.

Everything from the ridiculous injuries sustained to the dreadful tactics from the incompetent Coach has brought this Old Lady down to her knees. As to be expected, management will probably revert to a short term solution, a Coach who would at least salvage a top four place for the team and then be on his way in the summer. Once they have secured his services, chances are they will be noting down the players they wish to sign over the summer and those they wish to sell before even giving another thought to who their actual long-term Coach will be or what his thoughts are regarding transfer market activity. Having an inexperienced management is one thing but having an inexperienced management that is in denial about their lack of footballing knowledge is quite another.

It is becoming increasingly monotonous and repetitive to keep pointing out where Ferrara is going wrong and what needs to be done. What more can you really say about a man who makes even Massimo Moratti look like a cleverer tactician? Sunday night’s game really makes you wonder what type of preparation he puts his team through before a big match. Does he actually study the opponent? Is he aware of the best ways to stifle their strengths and exploit their weaknesses? Does he even communicate tactics to his team or does he merely choose a formation, tell them what it is and then make them run around the pitch for four hours or so a day? Anyone including his grandmother would have known that Milan’s weakness lies in the inexperience of their full-backs. If he really wanted Juventus to score then he should have told the Bianconeri to initiate their attacks on the wings. But wait - with a treatment room packed full of midfielders and a summer transfer campaign that excluded the necessary purchase of wingers, attacking through the wings has become impossible.

With all sorts of players played out of position, full-backs that remained largely anonymous throughout the match and a striker who would miss even if he was alone in front of an open goal, it is no wonder Juventus could not score. Poor Diego, he thought Juventus would catapult him into legendary status - hardly possible when every time he finds himself at the top and in a dangerous position, there was no support or Bianconero available to help him penetrate. As for the defence - God save Giorgio Chiellini should be the anthem of Juventini worldwide. Had it not been for the sublime performance of the centre-back, the Bianconeri were looking at a record defeat by a side that was hardly impressive on the night. Conversely, Felipe Melo certainly wins the award for flop of the match. It is delightfully ghastly to think of the exorbitant amount of money spent on a defensive midfielder who is unable to clear such an easy ball that led to Milan’s first goal. The only thing left for him to have done on the night was run with the ball and score an own goal. And to top things off, Christian Poulsen, a once-upon-a-time flop turned good has now been ruled out for near future.

Barring the almost comical mistakes of the defence that gifted the opposition three goals, the most shocking aspect of the game was the speed with which Juventus relinquished the fight and succumbed to a Milanese win. After conceding the second goal, the players seemed to have lost the will to carry on and barely any were interested in staging a historic comeback. You know you are in trouble when the likes of Cagliari can score two in stoppage time to salvage a point against Roma and when the multi-million pound Juve team playing at home can barely summon the energy to limit the amount of goals conceded. A new Coach is not going to solve all the problems in Turin but it would sure be a good way to start to limit the amount of humiliation this Old Lady has suffered.

Our problems are so much deeper routed that Ciro. We all loved the summer, but thats where the problem lies.. The board instead of creating a team that wins are only trying to please the fans, us. Ranieri, who was despised, replaced by the popular Ciro. Nedved replaced by the more fancy Diego, although this would mean we had to throw around our entire system. D'Agostino replaced by Melo, a type of player we had a bunch of already instead of a playmaker we sorely lacked.

Our board lacks the right attitude. Our team is in so much shambles, who really knows how good our players are? We are missing crucial parts to make it work, which in turn puts to much pressure on a lot of players to deliver. Pressure that is killing them.

The fan bit is actaully correct. You give Capello the team Ranieri had,or even Ferrara has right now,and Juventus would start grinding out results yet again. Not pretty results. But the results would be there. But Capello would still get shit because he might not necessarily play the players that the fans want, despite the fact that he would be getting the results. In the league atleast.
