Since he has failed to win the CL, after using a billion and kept getting owned my Manure, he couldnt afford to join a team with less chances for the championship.
Inter could provide him with a domestic title to boost from
and with enough resources to try and do better in the CL.
At the worst case scenario, he will keep boasting for one more title,
he wasnt man enough to risk that too...

On my second thought , i think Ferrara trying to pulling up Lippi's tactic when we landed Nedved,Buffon,Thuram and Canna.
with 4-3-1-2 Formation , Lippi using Camoranesi and Nedved the dynamical movement to explore both flanks while attack and they will adjust to their position back when we are attacked,but we had 2 super DL and DR to fill those gap.
but we don't have that minimum requirement on Grygera and Grosso,haha.
Geeezz , i'm confusing discussing tactical issues , all i want just we back to the win tracks and lift the Trophy at the end of the season,hehe.
