Do you think we could get away with using DC as a staarting RB? or Criscito?

Criscito is not a huge attacking fullback anyway so it is not like his left foot cross would be that much of a hinderence. and DC played there once this season in emergency. I would start either of them at RB over Grygera or even Zebina really.

Criscito would be a huge defensive improvement and could help protect Canna from pacey wingers which would get by grygera/zebina

Criscito is more confident than DC in terms of attacking. Also, he is better than him defensively, so I think DC should be Criscito's sub and we should buy a great RB that can attack and defend confidently.

makes sense. either way i am positive Criscito should be a starter net season .. maybe even starting CB when Canna retires.

He is a fullback that can shut down attacks on his side.

Lahm rumor is dead to me; 20-25 million is veeeery expensive for an LB. Our transfer market will be great if we purchased: Eboue+Criscito(Recall)+Cannavaro+Diego. Also, we should let Yago feature in a few matches.

    Jansen, the german dude.
    Baines from everton
    Dossena from Liverpool.
    maybe skrtel or arbeloa
    Lucio?
did agger sign a new contract?
Benitez plans on offloading many reds players to make a big signing (possibly david villa) I say we get our cash ready cause Liverpool's defense is a rock.

Chelsea's Alex as cb or Ivanovic as fullback
    Jagielka and baines from everton
    Hangeland from Fulham
There is also the dutch kid who starts with an H.. plays in atletico if i remember
There are good defenders who arent old.
I am not saying buy all these.. but these guys have been performing greatly this year and last year and they are young in age, cheap in price.
Our scouts should keep an eye on them until someone really impresses them and we get that someone

My thoughts on the defense in regards to Ferrara are as follows: I can see him having a lot of faith in Ariaudo next year (maybe even the next two games but that may be pushing it). Plus with a young talented back like Criscito returning will also be a plus and I am sure that should Ciro stay he will utilize all five Italians (well six counting Molinaro). Canna, Chiellni, De Ceglie, Criscito, and Ariaudo. That just looks great to me TBH. All Italian with Gigi, now lets get Motta to complete the puzzle. Giggigty.

Honestly one of the reasons why I like Ciro as coach is he will try to incorporate HIS youth players into the first team. He knows them better than ranieri ever did and for that I think we will be seeing some youth in our team. And actually playing, that is if he stays.

Not to mention I think he will also bring much more organization to our defense.
