One sure indicator of how much this board is capable of rookie mistakes?: that they let their pride run too long, so that they waited too long to seriously consider legit replacements who were still available on the market.

The mgmt f*ed themselves by allowing their options to walk away while they dithered, leaving the few who still qualify to ask for ridiculous sums because they have the board over a barrel.

It's one thing to say the board is a bunch of football rookies but good businessmen. But this is a boneheaded situation to get in for any business.
Let's say he got sacked after the Bayern game and name Guus as coach. You think we'd be where we are right now?

I bet we'd be closer to inter no doubt about it and be ready to finish the season strong. The players are down with the current situation.

This should have been done a long time ago. Getting an interim coach will only prolong the agony until the cigar smoking Lippi arrives next season. That's if he doesn't backtrack since we're playing in the Europa league.

There's a chance to save the little bit that's left of this season so a coach like Hiddink is worth going in the red for a semester. We'll get that $$$ back later.

i'm def. not gonna watch the match against inter.
i just can't take another humiliation.....

we would have lost anyway even with gus or god on the bench but with a coach that lost 6 of the last 8 games that knows he is already fired.................

I wanted Hiddink before the Bayern game already. If i remember, we won the game before Bayern quite convincingly, but we had played poor already before it, like Bordeaux away for example. If we had gotten Hiddink back then, we might have made the CL knockouts, draw was enough.

Our board should have it in his contract that he only gets 5m if he qualiys for the CL and wins a trophy.

If not then give him 3.5 for his 6 months work.
thats what i am thinking ... no need to give this bum all this money if he does not achieve the qualification for the champions league for next season.

he is a paper legend as player anyways .... never liked his freekicks ... fat dutch bum !

They should have lined up a replacement weeks ago in preparation for this eventuality. To not have a contingency plan really shows how clueless Blanc and company are.

IMO, I had ill feelings before the Munich disaster. I remember going into the Inter game wondering how I could get excited by that tie when we looked so awful against Bordeaux and Cagliari in successive matches -- winning the big match is meaningless if you cannot take care of business elsewhere.

Firing Ciro then would have been harsh, but it should have sent up the flags then.

Yes. Anyway Ciro should have gotten the boot after cl exit. Draw was enough to advance playing at home. The fact that we got trashed, not just loose 2-1 with the winner scored in 89 minute or smth. Trashed, outplayed. (no ribery btw).

Like I said this morning, one sources confirms Blanc was working all day at Exor(own 60% of Juve). If he went there the I don't think he was talking about interim coaches making peanuts. What I think is that he was there to talk about a coach that makes a lot of dough. But that's just my assumption.

What would make me happier is the news that he was sent home early with his own pink slip. :(
