Never ever! Seriously, we are Juventus. We shouldn't even be looking in the direction of a mediocre nobody such as C. Zanetti.
Well, he's a mediocre nobody who is certainly better than Manuele Blasi and probably surpasses Giannichedda with the ball at his feet. For those reasons I welcome Zanetti because we have seen what Blasi can do, and he's just not good enough for Juve.

Viola make new Blasi bid Monday 22 August, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fiorentina have reportedly increased their offer to Juventus for combative midfielder Manuele Blasi.

The Viola have spent all summer looking for a new central midfielder and Blasi has been linked for some time.

Whispers suggest that the Tuscan side have made a £3.5m offer after Juventus rejected an earlier bid of £2.8m.

A deal could now be done before the end of the week even if the Turin giants value the Italian at around £4.5m.

The former Perugia youngster has been specifically requested by new Fiorentina boss Cesare Prandelli.

The latter worked with Blasi at Parma two seasons ago, before both left the Stadio Tardini in the summer of 2004.

Should Juventus sell Blasi, they are likely to make a move for Inter’s Cristiano Zanetti as a replacement.

Blasi can leave, it doesnt mean that Zanetti will join. will zanetti get more playing time at juve than he would at inter? he would be first sub in DM at inter just as he would at juve.

Surely there are others out there who the club can go for. Look abroad for a change, we dont always have to go for players in Serie A.

I think we always look at the Scudetto race before we do the Champions League. And more often than not stay true to tradition with the kind of players we pick up in that sense. They usually come from within the Serie A, thereby making us a lot less cosmopolitan when compared with the likes of Milan.
