Poulsen has the unique strategy when attempting to get the ball off of his opponent: he waves his arms up and down, but doesn't really put a foot in. It's something I just noticed today, so if Tiago is a ballerina, Poulsen is a fucking aerobics instructor. Good, Alen?
The way Poulsen lets the opponent pass through him is indeed annoying.
I'm talking about situations when there is no way to win the ball but he can stop the attack with a smart foul.

There was such situation tonight when Javier Zanetti was on the run. Poulsen just let him pass, even though he could foul him, and luckily Zanetti sent a very weak shot.

The old Poulsen would have broken Zanetti into pieces and get a red card for that. This Poulsen is too soft :D

Not only too soft, but he is too immobile with us, he was all over the place dishing out punishments and stealing ze ball with the grace of a lumberjack in Sevilla and Schalke. I dont see anything near the intensity and aggression as I did for example when he was playing against Barca and Real and totally bullied their midfields to submission. Quite way more melow and as said, more immobile Poulsen.

He's got an ugly reputation, especially in Italy, and he knows that the refs won't think twice to send him out. Our coach probably told him to watch out and that's what he's doing all season long.

But without the agressive approach, Poulsen isn't so useful anymore.

I know exactly what you're referring to. And there was this other situation where Muntari was running down the right side and Poulsen decided to make friends and run beside him for a while. It took a Nutcracker-esque intervention from Tiago to knock the ball safely out of bounds and stop the heat. It was so graceful that it would've brought a tear to your eye, Alen. :D

Exactly, but I doubt its about reputation, this guy reputation for red cards is exaggerated, he hardly got red cards for tackles, he is very aggressive, but competent tackler who did his job. When he got red cards, it was cases like a game against Sweden, where he punched a swedish player, or in a Sevilla game when he kneed someone in the head. It wasnt so common, but happend at times (him losing his cool), mainly just an aggressive player who got under peoples skin with his style. Which was largely by the books and fair even if physical.

That Totti thing in the 2004 euro forms peoples image of him way too much (provoking your marker, not the first to do it).

But as I said, way too mellow with us, and even more importantly, he hardly covers much ground, is too static, the aggression or lack of it is seen in his lack of eagerness to cover much space too.

it's even worse because the guy he is covering for is a hyper active black ninja who is all over the place. So he looks very bad by comparison.

I want the Poulsen of Schalke back.

Speaking of feathers, we should go KFC on these guys. We'll just put them in a barn and throw them against walls, stomp on them, violate all these animal/human "moral codes"...

But lets start with the priority first. Kill Tiago and then we can think about selling the others.
See this is why you are just a lowly peasant. You lack judgment. Tiago is still a jvue player so he is still one of us still, no matter how crappy he is. Instead of killing Tiago, we should sell him and make some profit.........

.........Then we can send in Turk to kill Tiago
