i'm not even neutral when it comes to Marchisio, the guy is the next Il Capitano for me...but if anyone would take his spot, then Poulsen is the best choice...Tiago is just crap and will remain crap, and Zanetti's days are pretty numbered anyway
Actually he should be, after all he is the star midfield signing (sort of) requested by Ranieri. But Marchisio has raised his game to such levels that we are seeing a 3-way competition for the midfield positions.
Poulsen intercepted quite a number of balls from behind without resorting to fouls and made a few simple yet intelligent passes. Great match from the Dane, he owned the midfield today although Roma's midfield was understrength & pissed poor, but can't argue that he probably had a hand in making them look that way.
When he is having a good day, unfortunately he is bot that consistent though...
But yesterday, you could feel he is going to have a good day even by his first couple of touches on the ball!!
He was poor against Torino a few weeks ago. But yes, he is generally quite consistent. Doesn't try to be fancy and is always very mobile which makes life easy for his teammates. It's obvious that he comes from Sevilla, a team who attack through quick and short passing which requires plenty of movement.

I think his inconsistency is mainly due injuries/not playing much, and adapting to new team which isnt such an easy job when your injuried. My MoM from Roma match.
