We have too many midfielders but I don't think we should sell him.He can come out very good in the end.

    Playing 4-3-3 is the answer.

I'm not sold at all on Poulsen, but I'll readily admit that the reason I'm harsh on him is largely because I really, really thought that Xabi was the right player for this team. Poulsen has been hurt most of the year, so it's hard to say how he might actually fit in to this team. He has had a couple of really solid games though, and I don't think it would be wise to give up already on the player, considering the investment that was made. At least give him a chance to make good. Oh, and I agree that 4-3-3 is definitely the way to go.

    Sissoko, Marchisio, Zanetti, Tiago, Poulsen.

5 isn't too many IMO, considering we play with a 4-4-2.

I seriously wouldn't change anything for next season. Although I'm also very bitter about missing out on Alonso.

It's not to many considering we play 4-4-2? :shifty:

Having 4 pretty good players to play on 2 position is too much...and not 5 of them.

It would be different and better if we play 4-3-3 or something when we have so many players available on that postion.

I think given how often our midfielders get injured, plus Sissoko's suspensions, 5 isn't too much.

this season is proof enough. All our midfielders are getting chances to play.

It gives the team more flexibility, allowing the team to change from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 at times when needed.

Sissoko will definitely get himself suspended anyway.
Zanetti, Marchionni + Camo are long term clients on the treatment table and with Nedved due to retire this season, 5 is just we need.

I would keep Poulsen, Tiago, Sissoko and Marchisio.

I'm not sure about Zanetti. It depends on his injuries.
Might as well allow Zanetti to retire in the club. I don't think anybody will want an injury proned player anyway.

His coming on coincides with the time when Juve starts to get dominant, so there is little doubt that he has had some kind of influence.

He was not there against Chelsea and Tiago played well in that game. Against Bologna, Tiago had a poor game and CR still have Poulsen to call upon.
So there is both quality and quantity there.

Poulsen kept Volpi quiet in the game. And his passes (long + short) + tackles keep the momentum of the game very smooth despite not seeing much of the ball

Give Poulsen more time, and you guys will surely see his potential. Even though he often goes unnoticed, his presence is what we need.

Poulsen was good, but def not a match winner.
It was not a coincidence that we start performing in the second half,
but lets not overrate Poulsen's role on that.
Because some of the players that has been largely under-performing in the 1st half, entered the game very determined and focused to our cause.
The HT was the time to bounce back!
Two other reasons Poulsen's role was particularly important are linked to Tiago.
Tiago has been particularly bad yesterday, very ineffective, it almost felt we were playing with a player less. Even a half decent performance from any other player, would deny us that handicap. And Poulsen, as a DM, helped Marchisio with his defensive duties, relieved him actually and allowed him to become a tadd more productive forwards!
It was a very good tactical choice to replace Tiago for Poulsen and CR should take more credit than Poulsen for that.
Poulsen was not exceptional, he only did his job, but CR made the best out of it, from the multiple tactical benefits!

Poulsen's transfer should not be reversed, at least not yet.
It was somewhat unneeded, with some bad timing, but thats not Poulsen's fault!
But our helm's who lack the vision and ability to determine our needs and priorize them...
