1.Not anymore
2. Nope
3. I'm sorry but he hasn't played regularly enough to do that.
1. 7/10 matches juventus with dp is a better juve than without him
2. he always tries, he always fights and runs, you'll see that with smart and better players around him diego will count even more
3. when he played he gave 100% and he proved himself..too bad our former coaches didn't saw the advantages of playing gio

Is it really the case, though? I know that stats give wrong picture many times, but last year for example, Juve won:

1--- 32 points on the 15 matches where DP didn't play (2.13 points per match)
2--- 23 points on the 23 matches when DP played (1.00 points per match)

Now, when looking at these stats one must have in mind that some 7-8 matches when Del Piero didn't play were at the start of the season when the whole team was playing well. In the bad period that followed after November, there were matches when DP didn't play and the team still sucked.
So people can't really say that Juve plays better without Del Piero.

But the numbers above, and the matches we all watched, also confirmed imo that Juve didn't play any better either when Del Piero played, so I can't accept what you say above.

Spain with Busquets, Inter with Cambiasso, Barça with Touré, Spain in 2008 with Senna, Italy 06 with Gattuso.

DM's are essential in football. You need balance instead of throwing 2 brutes on next to each other.
I disagree. You can get by with two-way central midfielders. In a 4-3-3 you certainly need one DM to hang back at all times, but in a straight 4-4-2 you can use two good CM's together. An example would be Carrick - Scholes or Fletcher - Carrick.

A team like Spain or Barcelona would be ruined if that DM was simply a destroyer though, like Sissoko. Poulsen would be a far better fit.

Carrick stills plays in the position of a DM, even if his attributes are somewhere between that of a DM and a ballplayer (even if he isn't much good at being either).

I liked how Germany played at the World Cup.

The two CMs had a nice understanding of each others positioning and movement and Schweinsteiger held back a bit which allowed Khedira to make runs forward.

So, you don't need a DM, in the traditional sense, but you still need defensively aware midfielders.

i'm owned...but i know the reality that was in this season, del piero was the best striker. And i can prove my point with stats, he scored the most goals for us this season. So i think that him being the top scorer he gived the best out there..i'm sure he did 7/10

Not really a great argument, although in some cases, and maybe in this one too, it can be true.

Del Piero scored one goal more than Trez while playing more than Trez. For the sake of the argument, lets say Del Piero scored 2 goals less and Trez was our best scorer. You think the same could be applied there? That since Trez was the top scorer, Juve, in 7/10 matches, are better with this Trez than without him?

It could well be the case. Some would say though that with Trez Juventus are playing with a man less.
Then again, looking who the other strikers are, maybe Juve do play better when DP and Trez are playing.

i know that dp ain't like nedved and isn't giving 110 % per match...he isn't that young and isn't build that way. But he is always giving that 7/10 compared to amauri and iq and atm del piero is needed in the lineup, so is trez (if we won't sign dzeko or someone at the same valour)...

and btw your sig rocks...saw the movie with my father and we both were so impressed...kusturica was and is a great movie director

Sure.

What I want is Del Piero and Trez not to be needed in the line-up. I obviously want to say that I'd like us to have other great and reliable strikers and midfielders apart from those two so we won't badly rely on them

what you want you won't have (this season) and you know it...i still have hopes in iq and maybe we will transfer edin..and dp to be used as a super sub changing one of those 2 20 minutes before ft. About the midfielders, we are pretty much settled in the center..i donno what we will do about that right flank

Let's take a look at this. We've Sissoko fanboys and others calling for him to leave and mocking his passing ability, while others are calling for Melo to GTFO while calling him a nut-case and others are calling for him to stay with all that talk about his talent and his ability to change with a good coach. Then we've Trezigoal's case and Diego's. Hell even Chellini was asked to leave by some if a good offer is presented.

This is only me speaking, but IMO the chance of us benefiting from a deal that involves Poupou leaving is one of the biggest we've ATM, second only to Diego's if that actually happens. So yea, I am willing to stick to the mentally-ill Melo and the passing-less Sissoko. Why? Because I believe these two have shown their quality even at times of when none where to be seen both at Juve and their respective teams, while the all-mighty poupou have only showed up in the what? Last 2-3 months of the season when almost all the players where either under performing or injured? While for 2 seasons now he's been either warming the bench or in the treatment room while being the oldest midfielder we've and earning more than both Sissoko and Melo. Let him go, Even though Im pretty sure he won't. Who else would be willing to pay us 4-6m for him while giving him a 3.5m pay check a year?
