Zenit away was the fixture I feared the most beforehand when the group was confirmed. It turns out now that this game isn't important at all and we should definitely field a mix of reserves and regulars. Something like:

Manninger
Grygera Mellberg Chiellini De Ceglie
Camoranesi Marchisio Poulsen/Ekdal Salihamidzic
Iaquinta Giovinco

If we lose this game we can still secure the group win by beating a BATE side with nothing to play for at the Olimpico, which shouldn't be a problem really. Zenit away is a game we aren't unlikely to lose with a full squad anyway so let's be smart here.

The weather and pitch conditions may play a significant factor: we will need players with good close control, skill to control akward balls, and good balance to cope with the possibly slippery conditions.

I would play Nedved. Gio. Momo. Ekdal. If they were available, with Iq and DP up front.
