The lack of quality in individuals costs us at this level.

Kelly (yes he scored a goal but arguably could've stopped 3), Koop (simply awful at both ends, should do better on their 2nd), McKennie (out his depth as the sole attacker on the right) and Di Gregorio (a sieve that's rooted to his line) all started and aren't CL level players.

As a first step if we can find a LCB that can defend and a CM that can pass and defend around the box, we'd improve hugely.

Tudor setting the team up to have more than than Yildiz as a creator would also help. Chico/Zhegrova/Joao Mario on the right would have made a huge difference.

That midfield worries me, we cant win a ball even if we tried. Locasmelly and Koop really disable us. Then at the back im not expecting much but our first line of defence is midfield and we need a ball winner more than anything.

I think this team has a lot of potential actually. I think we just need to find the right balance and approach in games but the attacking quality is there. Just imagine if this team had a Calafiori in defence and a world class goalkeeper.

I'd feel more confident of Locatelli doing that for us than Koop over the course of the season but we badly need an upgrade there.

Kalulu gives me the shivers, its like our defenders have turned into assist man and goal scorers, and forget about their primary role. Despite the awesome comeback, there are so many negatives once again and so much work to do, especially being organised straight after chaos.

Agree, you need a functioning brain to play central midfield, especially in a two. I could see Tudor playing Adzic and Miretti there as the 4th CM before him.

Right now the problem is midfielders who won't come up to challenge a shot and a keeper who goes missing at times.

Oh, and defensive shambles when trying to coordinate in open play.
