even though we dont always get the results we need, scoring early is especially important against the lesser teams, as they need to go forward and not sit back. the early goal against inter did hurt them alot and for 15 min, they where totaly lost. marchisio should have buried the match. that didnt happen, and we all know how it ended.

if we had not gotten the early goal tonight, our players would get nervous and start playing hasty and worse than they did, NS confidence would also grow and things would most likely get very difficult again, as last time.
I'm not sure I agree with you, because I can think of at least three occasions (Cagliari, Chievo and Lecce all at home finished 1-1) last season where Juventus scored early against small opposition and ended up conceding. I don't think the problem has changed from then till now, because the team has more goals than what is being showed, yet it's lacking an important component. Even this season Juventus has become a second half team and taken Siena, Parma, Genoa, Napoli and Bologna out in the second half and quite late on in the match.

I don't think it matters when the goal is scored, nearly as much as how the goal is scored. And who will be that guy to put away 20 goals for Juventus each season?

The match versus Chelsea will be something we all expect since years to come.Imagine the tention and how pumped our players are going to be.Kill them all!
It will be a ridiculously intense game, a game i hope Juve grab by the horns and toss that biatches from england left right and centre. I hope they dont even let them breathe. like the first game we played again Milan last year at juve stadium remember? we just suffocated them and we need to do that against chelski. we are at home we come away with good results against pescara and lazio, conte will do his thing during the week and the players will bring it home 2-0. wishful thinking? maybe but then again we are juve and thats all that needs to be said.

It won't be the plan, but it'll almost certainly happen. We'd look to counter them, and as always the success of it would depend on what the forwards do with the ball.

Was pretty sure we'd smash them if we got an early goal, shame we couldn't do that in the reverse fixture, would have been totally different.

Chelsea fucked us pretty bad today too.
    No they didn't.

Outstanding. Isla was my mom, he's lightyears ahead of Lichtsteiner and must start against Chelsea as we looked much more balanced with him and Asamoah on the wings.

The Chelsea game will be special as nights like that are what Champions League football should be about. If we play to our potential then we will win.

I expect a packed house and the players to honour the shirt, I cannot fucking wait.

Btw if chelsea continues like this they will be the first team to win the CL 2 times in a row . I can't believe the amount of luck they have , they score the first goal because of shaktar's keeper who shoots the ball at torres's leg and he scores , second goal another mess up from the keeper , third goal on the 94 minute and all these after shaktar was toying with them in their penalty area for most of the match . Unbelievable
drives you crazy. then you watch juve who have chance after chance and cant finish atleast 2 of them.

Juventus - Chelsea will be a showdown, the game to watch in the group stages amongst all the matches.

With Shaktar and Chelsea to both play Nordsjaelland, you can already add 3 points to their tally. What it all means is that the next two games are must wins for Juve.

Yeah we played a third rate team, but that was a quality performance all round. The perfect response after losing our undefeated streak, our team responded in the best possible way, absolutely and utterly dominating our opponents. We looked much more solid and compact as a team. This team has real character too.

It leaves both of those sides above us, and with us having to get results in both, considering they must therefore play Nordsjaelland each.
Shaktar with 7 points is better than Shaktar with 8 points.

    For the third time:
    How it is now:
    Shaktar - 7 points - 4 games
    Chelsea - 7 points - 4 games
    Juve - 6 points - 4 games

If Shaktar and Chelsea win against FC Nordsjælland:
    Shaktar - 10 points - 5 games
    Chelsea - 10 points - 5 games
    Juve - 6 points - 4 games

Let's say we win against Chelsea and draw Shaktar (it could also be beating Shaktar and losing against Chelsea):
    Shaktar - 11 points - 6 games
    Juve - 10 points - 6 games
    Chelsea - 10 points - 6 games

We are going through this way because we're better head to head against Chelsea. It's the same thing if we draw Chelsea and win against Shaktar. :)

The good thing about Chelsea beating Shaktar is that our chance to win the group is much larger now. The bad thing is that the chance to get through on a second place is smaller.

To be honest I was really really worried about our match tonight. If Chelseas does not pick up themselves I can see us beating them 2:0 pretty easily.
