The best chance would actually be recovering Kalulu and moving Veiga to LB, but I'm not sure if Kalulu could be fir already. Trabsfermarkt says he should recover on 17.02

What sample size are you basing it on that you think Veiga would be better than McKennie or anyone else at LB? He’s been very good at CB so why mess it up, think Kalulu will surely not be fit for it either way, or at least not at his best and probably better to not rush it…

I rather we stick with what we know works and avoid new experiments in a make or break game.

McKennie starting in the middle also means that one of Thuram or Douglas Luiz will be benched because it’s quite predictable that at least one of Loca or Koop will start too, whereas that results in having to start Kelly at LB again, so i don’t see in what world that is a better scenario for us.

Basically the question is whether McKennie playing in the middle can turn out to be more decisive for us than it would be to start at LB a player that seems to be a liability and weak link, not sure if it’s just because he is rusty or hasn’t adapted yet but he looks completely out of his depth here thus far.

I mean I think he saw Kolo but thought he could finish it but it wasnt such an easy task considering the defender blocked the other side and the GK covered the corner well.

I would say even more, not only playing not good enough but also going for glory instead of teamplay, because it wasn't only that one play when a player should pass.
