Continassa: Gatti and Vlahovic trained this morning on their own free will. While the team was granted rest after the defeat in Naples. The team will resume tomorrow, to prepare for the game against Benfica. #Juventus

Benfica are struggling. They just suffered their third defeat in four league games with a surprise 3-1 defeat to Casa Pia this weekend. Throw in the midweek UCL 5-4 loss to Barcelona (a game they led 3-1 and 4-2) and the pressure is on. I fully expect them to show up and punch us in the mouth, and Motta won't know how to react.

So apparently now we rest players and give them a day off after defeats, kind of thought it’s usually the other way around, after another series of poor results you’d expect us to read about a ritiro and extra hard work, but maybe we are all just out of sync with this modern methods.

Maybe he thinks tiredness was the reason for the 2nd half drop although we all know that is not really the case...
