Glad you basically said what I was gonna say as well, Conte is the least typically Italian coach these days. We always look to play attacking football and to control the games. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
He tries to play his own attacking game no doubt - but he has slowly become more tactically stubborn and has always had a problem with making substitutions too late. He's a great coach no questions asked, but his conservatism in tactics is now glaringly obvious.

When he coaching small teams, and wasn't on top with us it was easy to try different things, but now that we're on top, it's harder to think outside the square and take risks.

Lichty is a very big loss, still at least have decent cover for Vidal.

hope Conte gives Isla a go, need him to stretch the pitch and create some space.
Conte will play Padoin to prove his conservative Italian nature.

I would love to be proven wrong on this of course.

I might get flamed for this, but honestly if I were Conte, I'd make sure my players tackle so hard that Bayern would have at least five injured players by the end of the night.

Off-topic but:

You know how there's a rule that if your team goes down to 7 men, you lose the game by default 3-0? Imagine if we are playing a 2-legged tie and we win the first leg 4-0. Couldn't we just go into the 2nd leg, play a bunch of youth players and have them get a bunch of yellows and reds by hand ball and have us lose the game 3-0, allowing us to go through 4-3?

We could, but that would be too cynical. We have to remember that it's still a sport, despite the best effort of certain people.

First we have to be up by 4 though :D . We also need to get 4 red cards without the other time scoring once. It could be a fun experiment, but I'd rather just stick to winning ties the old fashioned way :p

You'd probably get fined.
