this... we have the squad depth now... why wouldn't we try and win the EL?
yes !
It might be Juve's best shot at European silverware in a decade.
exactly !

The final is in our own stadium too !!
Think about that for a moment. if there is any year to fail CL and win europaleague, its when you play europaleague in your own stadium

Very debatable.

Europa league prize money:
Round of 32: €200,000
Round of 16: €350,000
Quarter-finals: €450,000
Semi-finals: €1,000,000
Losing finalist: €2,500,000
Winners: €5,000,000
5 mil for winning europa yet didn't we gain much much much more from reaching the quarters of the CL?

Yes, change a working formation cause of player form :touched:

Italian teams always underestimated the Italian cup and Europa cup, and we cant win it with the Padoins and Islas...
correct. But since they are on the bench, that eliminates the problem

- - - Updated - - -

Yet we still choked against the Nords in the first leg. Europe simply shows why no other big teams use this formation. It's so outdated and predictable, let alone in-effective.

4-3-3
The nords ? You mean back when we didnt had an attack ?

Or the danes, when we didnt have llorente ? and the defence was beeing pathetic form ?

Yes, good reference points

This is a transition year considering the frontline. With llorente blended in, we'll play to our level next year, and allready in the EL this year

No flanks  :howler: Yes, let's attack thru the middle, hope for some Pirlo magic, a couple of shots from outside the box, and maybe, just maybe Asamoah, Licht, Padoin, or Peluso could put in a cross every once in a while.

No flanks/width with our slow and predictable play = epic fail in Europe.

who gives a crap what they got to say? they are so getting bayern munchen or psg and getting raped 6-0 and 0-6 in the knockouts...
Post-match cockfighting aside, Galatasaray are a very ordinary team who we should have comfortably taken 4 points off, but the CL throws up group stage shocks like this. It's football, how often do people need to watch the game to understand this sometimes happens, and will again in future?

'Really big clubs dispose of these teams', no they don't, not always. Plenty of big teams failed at the group stage of the CL when expected to go through. But they come back and go again. It's a big concern for us because of the financial side of the game these days.

In terms of us as a club I think we are sometimes a bit arrogant in Europe. It's not deliberate, but over our history we have always done so well domestically, for large parts without really having to be at 100%, that we take that into the cut throat world of knock-out European football. Just a couple of wins would have done the group, but we kind of shrug and go 'next time', without really going for it. Even going into this final game, we have this kind of self-assuredness that everything is going to be ok.

Contrast that with Milan and the other inferior Serie A teams and they really seem to save it up for the competition, each game at a time, even more so during in the inevitable domestic flop periods.

We'll go again next year, with more ideas, but winning a couple of games earlier on is much easier for us, because of our mentality.

Your 4-3-3 is proven uneffective. No serious team plays a 4-3-3 apart from barcelona these days. Giovinco is the worst player of the team. Tevez is not a winger. It would get owned by the 3-5-2.

Juventus got the best potential CM in the world, we should focus on getting the best out of the CM and forget about flanks
Of course, you might be right, but just because it doesnt work in FM, it might work in reality;-)

To me, a 4-3-3 with a defensive DM would still allow Vidal and Pogba to roam forward, and dropping a CB for an attacker or winger or AMC would in End provide US with so much diversity in attack..

CL provides much more money.

And then only thing that going hard for the EL victory will be getting players injured and us slipping in the league. I say fuck the EL just like Nipples did.

Edit: Money for CL: Round of 16: €3,500,000
