I thought we may as well start a thread about this, seeing as its the biggest match in club football at the moment. I personally will be avidly supporting milan for the follwoing reasons:
1. A win would be good for Italian football, and whats good for Italian football, is good for Juve.
2. Milan prevented an all-english final.....GREAT
3. I feel Milan are on Juve's side in the Calciopoli scandal, as we were both implicated by inter. Even though we went down, they are the 'cheats' who are still out there, proving that Calciopoli was a farce. So i hope they win, proving further that calciopoli is a lie,, and shove it right in inter's face.
4. Juve and Milan have a solid relationship with no real bitterness. We play the belusconi trophy every year, and there seems to be a mutual respect that we are the top 2 Italian teams. A particular example would be them sending us Abbiati free after injuring Buffon pre-season, you don't see something like that often. Unlike Inter, this club has honour and respect.
5. Juve and Liverpool have a lot of bad blood. The Heysel disaster for one thing, which leaves a bad taste. And also when we played them recently in the Champs League, and Del Piero got a fair goal ruled offside at Anfield. I respect them as a club with a rich history, but they have done many things at Juve's expense.
I'm interested to see what the opinion of most juve fans are, but these are my reasons why I'll be supporting Milan on May 23rd.
