Some slow thoughts:
1. Modern football is more and more about running.
2. To be dominant, you'd better have two midfielders that are both attack-minded, technical and have high football IQ.
3. If your fullback can't attack at all, don't use him.
4. 3-men defense, with some rare exception yes, seldom works.
5. If winger has an antonym, it's slow.
6. A competent MGMT is gold.

But also the few games I saw, mainly two things changed:


1. He completely stopped using Ramos, the traditional CF, in the rotation. Nonstop just the wingers. Same thing with Zaire Emery stopped getting starts (less of a passer and more of a hardworker), and became the two Portuguese wizards and Ruiz full on for midfield trio.



2. He stopped tinkering with the formation, sometimes he used 3412, 4212, 352 etc in big games/when rotating. Even if it was mainly 433, after January it became solely 433. They truly mastered that set up. It also helps they stopped getting injuries to their defense line.

From what I've read ( on psg forum), playing dembele up front was pivotal and the changes happened mid December, their match against Lyon changed everything. Prior matches he also started to hand out more opposition instructions and less tinkering. A lot of individual instructions, but more importantly his teans ball retention and demanding his players to press in January was something the PSG fans were suprised about. Finally he stamped his authority, early in the year when he left out dembele against Arsenal after he arrived late in training. It took time to get rid of the ego, he even had a dig at those with ego a few months ago. He had the backing of the younger players because of his clear instructions and enthusiasm. I think dembele has submitted to the will over the time.

Finally he often used references to his late daughter xana to reach out emotionally to his players, while growing a bond with them. I think he's learned a lot during the grief, the whole Psychological aspects of not only how to deal with himself, but also how he best utilised and transferred that through to his managing of players emotions and take the team to another mental level.

That's why I say that until this Juve team gets 2 very good fullbacks we aren't winning Seria A any time soon.
Cambiasso can be one of them but his defence is so bad , he makes him an average fullback.
For example Psg has the best rb in the world right now and one of the best lb.

100%. And this is why I don’t want Tudor and his over complicated 342——1 back. Just retarded stuff.
